h2a forge spawning

So i have just finished creating my map and am happy with how it looks, but, im new to forging and this is my first map ive ever attempted to make and require help or tips with placing spawns/objectives to make them most effective
could any one give any tips here? is it best to use respawn zones or initial/respawn pads?
I also only have 180 (after deleting all unnecessary pieces/using bigger pieces to cover wider areas) objects left and still need to place weapons/spawn ad objective points, really unsure if this is enough or more than enough

Also, is it just me or does AWASH keep getting darker and darker when testing maps, then progessivly get brighter while in game? is this a bug, or is it to due with the generic lighting

there are several ways to place spawns, me personally i spawn 16 neutral 16 blue 16 red red spawns (to cover your -Yoink- so nobody despawns out of the map and then 16 respawns (more if your map can handle it but 16 is plenty)

This isnt an MLG setup mind you its my own personal method before i get flamed, it works.

Place an initial spawn equally matched with a respwn in the same area and make sure there is plenty of cover where you place the spwn, always make sure there is at least 2 cover points in between the spawns to ensure a sense of balance,

alrighty ill try this out later on after work, its a 4 sided symetrical map so all the spawns are going to be symmetrical anyway which will help with balance
however would 8 spawns for each team be enough? the maps fairly small (between warlock and foundation sized so its a 4-8 player size map) 16 may be a bit much, as im planning on having 4 teams for 2v2v2v2, 4v4 or FFA or should i still try 16 each? and as said before i still have weapons to place and only have around 150 objects left to place now

also do you know anything about the lighting on Awash, it keeps getting darker and lighter, when you start a custom on the game it starts almost pitch black and takes about 20-30 seconds to light up

Awash has a bug where it’s dark for the first minute or two. How many people do you want your map to work with? If you use more than 400 physical objects then the map will most likely fail to load in lobbies with 8 or more players.

bleh, that sucks, when spawns and weapons are added ill have probably used all 650 of the limit
i want it to be a 4-8 player maps, im mostly making it for
4v4
2v2v2v2
2v2
6-8 FFA

is this bug being fixed or is it gonna be liek this forever, i dont want a weeks work gone to waste

bump

The Awash bug hasn’t been acknowledged yet, and I don’t think they will be fixing it. If you want your map to work with up to 8 players then hopefully a good chunk of your objects are spawning objects as they aren’t problematic. If you have over 500 physical objects I doubt your map will load with 8, and I don’t think they’ll be fixing that issue either.

well, ive just placed all weapons and spawns and im at 596/650 and probably have objectives to add with the last bit now, i think before all my spawns/weapons i was at about 450/650
its a bit annoying if it ends up being broken after all this time, especially since ill likely have to add randoms to play test it due to having none of friends play halo =[

also, with the respawn points, should i have them set to teams or all “neutral”
