H2A coop crashes near the end of DeltaHalo& Regret

Whenever my friend and I play coop in Delta Halo & Regret on legendary level, the game will crash near the end of the mission when it reloads checkpoint. For example, if one of us dies during the fight with Prophet of Regret, in normal situation it should reload the checkpoint. However, in our situation, the game of host end will crash whenever it reload checkpoint and the connection will break. We have to restart the whole long mission again. This situation happened 3 times. The game crashes only when loading the last checkpoint, but not the other checkpoints in the middle of the mission. We are pretty sure that it is not a network problem but a bug problem of the game. Please fix the bug asap. It is extremely frustrated that the game crashes at the end of the long mission, especially that we are playing on legendary level.

Same here my friend. I thought I was the only one. Except mine crashes at the waterfall and jackal sniper part of the mission. Regret and the great journey crashed for me too, right after I beat Tartarus. F’n BS dude!!!

Same problem, while there are already lots of updates released. It happened to me and my friend 4 times, and it really annoy us. Not to mention we played for four hours for nothing actually.

Could we have soon finished games and without tons of updates which are mainly useless, please ? The legendary mode is quite hard, that’s enough.

Same. My friend and I were doing a LASO run of Halo 1. Beat the last level, The Maw, and as the ending cinematic was playing, got disconnected and the game didn’t count as having beaten the level. Few days later, we tried again, game kept disconnecting as soon as we would start the level, the opening cinematic would play for about half a second, then disconnected and back to the menu we went. Now, we can’t even get in a game together. We tried for 30 min resetting everything, triple checking our NAT, nothing. Every time one of us tried to join the other, “joining player…” " joining player…" disconnected, and back to the menu we go. I’ve got about one more patch in me and if that still doesn’t fix this issue, i’m ready to give up on the game.

Me and a friend got to the last 5 minutes on Regret 4 separate times and it would just crash or disconnect us. Extremely frustrating to do this over and over on legendary. Somehow we got through Delta Halo. 343 needs to fix this…

We also have the similar situation in joining a game together. Our NAT type is open. We have to eject the disc and restart the game again several times in order to get in a game together. Please 343, fix these bugs asap.

It isn’t just over xbox live, I play halo splitscreen with my dad and we’ll make it to regret, board him almost enough to kill him, and then one of us will die and the game will freeze. This has happened twice after playing for over two hours each on legendary and is incredibly frustrating.

Its luck of the draw on Regret. Me and my buddy tried that mission repeatedly until by some fluke/miracle (on the 20th time) the game didn’t crash/freeze during regrets beating or in the immediate cutscene following his death. My advice for that mission is to do that fight in single player, the game for the most part doesn’t crash or freeze during his fight nor does it crash in the cutscene that follows his death.

Following that mission the Halo 2 A co-op campaign sorta stable, the next co-op mission we ran into problems was quarantine zone where either in the beginning area with the wraiths or in open field area right before you ride the gondola to the index, you run into desynching problems in online co-op campaign. Desynching is when you and your buddy are split up into different game worlds with the other buddy controlled by a dummy ai that runs in one direction to their death. That problem only happens in those two areas and we didn’t find a work around that problem yet, except doing the mission on single player.

Most if not all the campaign problems I faced on all 4 games can be solved by not doing the online co-op or split screen but instead playing the campaign on single player. Except for the frame rate issues on Halo 3, most co-op campaign specific problems can be solved by doing it in single player. Until 343 stops being lazy, these and some others are the only solutions available right now. Only by 343 patching this game properly, can your issues be truly resolved. Till then play the waiting game, and hope maybe the next title update will resolve the issues. Im still waiting, and I have been waiting for 6 months for these problems to be resolved.

Thanks for the info dude. As far as I know it’s still not fixed and with H5 releasing I doubt it ever will be. I haven’t tried again since August since it’s so frustrating to get that far and have it crash. I’m thinking I might have to beat it on single player like you say, even though I really don’t want to since the point (for me) is to have fun playing Halo with my dad like we used to when I was a kid.
