Everything about the Halo 2 BR is amazing! The looks and sounds so much better then the Halo 5 BR. I don’t understand why 343 feels they need to change everything in Halo. I’m quite annoyed at the fact you can’t make the Halo 2 BR a starting primary weapon in custom games? Like why wasn’t this added??
I say replace the H5 BR with the Halo 2 BR on every map and also make it the BR load out in BTB.

EDIT: I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not. When I pick the game type snipers and edit it, it allows me
to set H2 BR as starting weapon.
If if I pick any othe gametypes the H2 BR doesn’t show up.
The fact that you cannot spawn with it is a huge oversight.

I was under the impression it was possible to make it available in maps either now or will be soon. Haven’t used it yet myself but I enjoy the H5 BR as I’m sure I’ll still enjoy the H2 BR as well.
Didnt they say in the livestream that the H5 BR has a faster TTK than the H2 BR? So wouldnt that technically make the H5 BR > H2 BR in terms of actual gameplay?
I feel like the h2 br might not be as good as the h5 br because h2 br has a slower rate of fire while the h5 br looks almost like it shoots one bullet with each pull of the trigger. I’m afraid it might make it a little harder to win gunfights.

You can spawn the Halo 2 BR in Forge, I believe, which makes it available in Custom Games.

Yes, if they straight copied the the H2 BR then the H5 BR will have a faster kill time. From the gameplay it did seem to have a faster reload time to help offset this somewhat.
I’ll try and find a source, but the H5 BR is 1.283333 s perfect kill, H2 BR around 1.43

In terms of gameplay yes. But I’m talking about how it looks and sounds. I despise the H5 BR from
the looks and sounds to the COD like red dot.

Its a burst weapon it shoots three instead of one.

They are both burst weapons. The H5 BR’s burst just happens insanely fast.

We can be sad together! Maybe an alternative is to add H2 BRs right in front of the initial spawns, as well as every corner on the map to always have a BR.

Yes I want to see this as well. IDEA: H2 BR spawns, with only H5 BRs on map. Interesting what that meta game would be like.
