So I was just reading on the Halo Maps forums and someone was talking about how they are ripping Halo 5 content for use in Custom Edition…
Now with the pictures he provided of his progress I couldn’t help but notice that there was two variants of the Halo Reach grenade launcher (coloured/skinned).
So were these cut from the game or are 343 planning on releasing these in a future update?

So from all those gamecheat13 videos and other ripped content available on the web…
If all this content is cut and will never be released I will be mad… If this content is the real deal and coming soon, I guess 343 MIGHT give me an excuse to keep playing occasionally.

It likely hasn’t been finished yet. We’ll probably see them in future updates
Anything that has a custom animated model is probably on it’s way.
The AA Wraith, Grenade and Plasma Launchers all look nearly finished and there’s even hidden Req Tier skins for the Grenade Launcher.
The sentinel beam is pretty close to completion as well so I would say to expect that as well.
The brute prototypes might be cancelled or major WIPs, depending on when those prototypes were created. If the Brute Gattling gun is anything to go by, it’s recent due to using the Hunter Arm weapon.

I haven’t seen the Grenade Launcher REQ variants yet. Can you PM a link to me?
I saw that video by game cheat today and thought it was pretty cool. The AA-Wraith would be awesome to use. I wonder when, if ever, we will get those reqs.

So are you telling me the mods are going to perma-ban me over a link to a community site about a Halo game? Plus I asked a question so how is this leaking? I want to KNOW IF this is CUT or coming soon. What is illegal about that?

Just want to be clear that permabans for this type of stuff are ridiculously rare and depend on a bunch of other things.
As for the content in question: it was obtained by modding games files. Right now modding the game is the only way to get it and see it, due to that it’s classed as leaked content for the sole reason that it wasn’t intended to be released yet. It’s very likely a work in progress and was left in for development and testing purposes.
As per the rules noted above, discussions regarding modded, hacked or leaked content aren’t allowed on Waypoint
