The collection doesn’t work when using a mouse & keyboard and gamepad at the same time. I want them to work at the same time for better gyro aiming. Steam input allows you to use the gyroscope on a switch pro controller, ps4 controller and steam controller. I could bind mouse-like joystick to the gyro, but binding the gyro to the mouse gives better results for aiming compared to binding it to mouse-like gyro. Also, changing the volume causes the the player to stop moving when using a controller. Since it is a keyboard input. So please, let the collection read controller, and mouse & keyboard inputs at the same time

I encountered the same issue. I assume it’s how they detect controller and mouse users and don’t let you use both at the same time. Many modern games do this. It’s annoying. I got around it by mapping my Steam and Switch controllers to WASD and other keyboard buttons instead of relying on Xinput
I hadn’t personally used Steam Controller because of this issue. I had many games that can’t handle both and mess up the connection with the Steam Controller. I honestly thought the Controller itself was malfunctioning. I would like to use Steam Controller again. Is it even a game issue and not just a Steam issue?

It’s a game issue. I did contact halo support it, and they did mark the issue as solved. For the general halo support page, not halo 4 support. That one’s case is still open. So whether or not that this issue gets fixed on november 17th is iffy. I do hope they fix it though

Can confirm. They did not fix the issue, at all
I wonder if they ever will fix this issue. Even with the new update for Halo 4 doesn’t seem to fix it. I’ve been wanting to play on controller, but I don’t like the Xbox One controllers.

Please don’t. This would easily be abused to manipulate AA on KBM. There’s a reason this was intentionally disabled.

I get it, I do. But there’s already people abusing it in gamepad. Using mouse-like joystick set to the gyro. So it doesn’t matter if they impliement it or not. Gyro users are using aim assist. Honestly, they should make aim assist an option for controller users. Also chaining the camera in vehicles and turrents should be optional. MORE INPUT OPTIONS ARE NEEDED IN MCC

So then this should affect MP only, but I see no problem with letting people enjoy SP with a controller in one hand and a mouse in the other (which is what Gyro is emulating, anyway…)

I got an idea. Only have the way it is when input based match making is turned on. But if they are really lazy, then just let us turn off aim assist when using a controller. I don’t understand why we can’t turn it off when using a controller. I also don’t understand why chaining the camera to the vehicle’s speed or turrent’s speed, is not an option to toggle off or on in the options menu when using a controller.
There is no bad reason for adding a toggleable aim assist, and a toggleable camera chaining when using vehicle or turrent when using a controller in the options menu
