I can see why some people may be upset (legitimately). Some of my friends and I were playing Team objective when we got assault on Zealot. One of our teammates quit and the other team was camping their objective just to make sure that we could not plant the bomb. In order to prevent them from killing us as, taking the bomb, and defeating us 1-0, we camped up top with the bomb. Once they discovered that we had no intention of losing the game, they began to lift up into space. The problem with their strategy was that you become a sitting duck when you lift up through one of the three lifts. Needless to say, we slaughtered them until they got bored of lifting, and the game remained tied until the end.
Why do I tell this boring story? Because you cannot tell me that Bungie had enough people play test Zealot! Honestly, if they had any decent people with a brain trying out that map, they would have discovered that the space zone was a horrible idea. While I believe some people are just being whiny brats and demanding a new Halo game, I also believe that some people do not want to see a repeat of Zealot or any maps from Reach for that matter.

There is always a beta in the progression of developing a game. The question is, if it will be a open beta a closed beta or a internal beta.

I agree that MLG shouldn’t get special treatment and early access to the game. but i saw some pictures in which it looked like the guys from Roosterteeth were playing Halo 4(the pictures were blurred but it looked like halo) so if they got some early access then i am guessing the some MLG players did too.

It’s funny people think a rank from a five year old game matters to anyone. Why would 343 care if you have a 50 in halo 3 that was a bungie game.

Technically it is not a Beta but rather an internal test. They will work on a build up to a certain point then test it, log the ‘bugs’ and begin working on the next build. Test it, log the bugs, rinse and repeat.
Microsoft has a lot of employees around the world to test.
