I’m willing to forgive them one more time. For Forge.
Especially after seeing all the recent leaks. I can’t wait to see what the community can do with these tools.
Season 3 being delayed to March? - not so much.

Well, it’s been a few months- think they made enough yet?
forged is delayed by 2 months and might be delayed again in addition season 2 is now 10 months
The road map says Nov - March.
It could be January before anything happens LOL!
@Darwi , maybe you noticed this but I didn’t notice it until the boys unknown pointed it out, but in the roadmap for season 3 they have forge beta updates, meaning they don’t intend to release forge in it’s completed state until after season 3.
When I heard forge is coming, I (mistakenly) assumed it was going to be completed and ready. I think they’re just pushing it out to everyone as a beta so the community can create content because 343 can’t.
IMHO Really?? Hell no I’m no gonna wait any more! .
Why in the hell can’t 343 just fix the damn game “FIRST” before adding new stuff???

I have lost all of my optimism regarding Halo Infinite and 343 and Microsoft are to blame for that!

Forge is a huge undertaking - and I’m sure the “beta” tag is just to cover them for the inevitable bugs here and there.
We’ve already seen what it can do - and I’m sure it’s currently builds ahead of what was leaked.
The big concern is the delay to a custom games browser.
But this is not a bad thing.
Some of the stuff created for Halo 5 Forge was mind blowing. And this is a different beast altogether.
And the community has been saying for ages that they could do better!
Well now we can…
eg. You want Infection? Well pretty much anybody will be able to script up Infection type matches in less than a day with the new scripting nodes. It’s looks that easy! Define the player traits of the survivors and the zombie (eg. speed, armour effect, weapon, no grenades, etc). At the start of the round make everyone survivors. Randomly choose one player and make them a zombie. Set up an on-death node to identify the victim, change their team, and apply the zombie trait set. A bit extra to handle the scoring / end of round and wham bam zombie glam.
forge is forge its a game to make games forge in it of itself can be labeled complete you dont label it a beta because people are constantly creating games. because the completion is about the completion of the tools and areas to build upon

And while a custom game browser is coming out later - I’m sure they will fix and expand the basic custom game options to go with Forge.

Are you willing to wait another 6 months to a year to get this game working correctly. Not me. There are more games coming out and I bet with less problems then Halo Infinite. Don’t get me wrong I love Halo I just hate what 343 and Microsoft has done to Halo Infinite!

Always moving that goal post. The game is always “almost so close to maybe being good in the near future with just a little more time and patience for the next season after this one”
Yeah but no other developer is asking for the time 343 has…and repeatedly missed the targets using said time. By the time season 3 rolls around they’ll have been given 22 months in total of delay time by Microsoft and the community. And the features of a typical halo launch or standard game will still be missing or in beta.
Wheres the line from good will vs being taken advantage of?
What will it take for 343 to look themselves in the mirror and realize the truth, that as a developer, they aren’t good at this.
the biggest feature is a new battlepass to get grifted on, and desync was not mentioned in the entirety of the roadmap. Nah. This game needs to be shut down and tried again in order for 343I to fix it they would have to want to and they are super proud of their “improvements” despite the fact they are the reason the players are no where to be found.

In a couple of months I will have Forge.
If it’s half as good as it looks to be I will be a happy little camper (it’s a legitimate strategy!).
My custom’s group is hanging on by a thread - but it won’t be long and we could be running around Beaver Creek with shot guns just like the good old days.
And the scripting. OMG!
Does this excuse the delay to Season 3? No, not in any way. But will it make the wait more tolerable? Yep. It sure will.
Am I worried about the future of Infinite. Yes. The golden triad going forward is desync, Forge/CGB, and XP rank. Some people would add “content”, but I think Forge takes care of that.
But if we don’t get ALL three the game is in serious trouble.

Lmao you actually believe that 343 will hit the deadline for forge? Thats cute.
Dont forget co-op had a target range of end of August and here we are with no co-op
I just don’t get hung up on actual dates so much.
Especially when they are described as “target date - subject to change”. It’s not worth wasting a lot of emotional energy holding onto that.
Nov 8 is more specific. So I am happy to lean on that a bit more.
Could it be pushed back. Yes it could. And that would be very frustrating. Would I throw a tantrum and uninstall the game on that basis - Hell no. Forge is too important. And the leaks have me drooling in anticipation.
So what I am choosing to believe is that Forge is currently due on Nov 8th. Yay.
People’s words need to mean something.
343’s word currently means nothing to most of the playerbase.
Just saying ‘its fine’ doesn’t mean it is, it just makes you a settler, maybe even an enabler as to why they keep getting away with this type of model
