That would be cool but i think we need to realistic here. From what we have been given is a good game that has the signs of being rushed out the door (fast leveling up, no File Share, lack of customization in regards to Flood, CTF, lack of polish), it’s hard to have high expectations for the TU.
I was passionate about the TU in Halo Reach, i think a lot of us were back then. Now, i just feel neutral about the whole thing with Halo 4 and it’s TUs.
We’ll see what happens but don’t expect all these amazing changes.
I was expecting the update early January and therefore I didn’t have very high expectations for it. Being nearly 2 months later than I had anticipated is cause for excitement however. I don’t see why the majority of this list can’t be addressed.
Dont get your hopes up 343i doesn’t listen to the community, just expect disappointment, so when it happens u will get on with your day just a little faster…
I think we should maybe step back and realize that things might not ever be what they use to be. I have a perfect example:
I use to love The Office. I could watch it everyday and still love it, but then it started to get of ‘meh’ (halo reach). Then Micheal Scott left (Bungie). Next season started off okay (Halo CEA). Now I can’t bare it. It’s awful, but I still check back and watch some new episodes to see if they returned to former glory (Halo 4).
Rework grenade spawning, only spawn with 1 grenade, Grenadier gives player 2, with ability to carry 3 of each.
Tweaking of the following Armour Abilities:
Jetpack tweaked to act as an upward thrust, jetting up to maximum Jetpack height, then dropping the player.
Regeneration Bubble no longer “instantly” regenerates the shield of a player as they enter the bubble, to prevent “bubble strafing” for effectively infinite shields.
Active Camouflage completely reworked, provides player with 5 seconds of full Camo (No Movement fade, only fades if player shoots, melees, grenades, or is damaged), with a 10 second cooldown. Instead of Radar Jammar, player appears as a Blue dot on the Motion Tracker.
Addition of the “Hacker” Armour Ability from leftover code, modified so upon triggering disables all Armour Abilities within half of your Motion Tracker radius. Lasts 10 seconds, 15 second cooldown. Enemies and Allies can see a “Blue Circle” surrounding the motion tracker blip of the player with this ability active, so they know it is there and in effect. (Should also create some noticeable visual effect if you are inside of it, such as minor pixelation along the edges of the HUD)
Promethean Vision radius made equal to Motion Tracker radius.
As opposed to completely randomized weapons and locations, maps now designed with Global Ordinance, a wave based system that delivers the effect of “moving weapons spawns” and map flow that was desired from Random Ordinance, while maintaining a constant pattern that repeats game after game.
Ordinance falls in Waves set to drop at Customizable intervals, you can use Forge and Custom Settings to Customize what weapons fall in what locations at what times.
Random Ordinance modified in a sense that you can set locations on the Global Ordinance to spawn a random choice of any number of weapons or powerups you want. Such as setting a location to spawn either a Shotgun, Scattershot, Hammer, or Sword on say wave 2.
Powerups now located on the map, instead of in Personal Ordinance (Custom Option, but programmed into the new default versions of each map/gametype)
Personal Ordinance modified:
The same choices/reroll choices for all players, in the same order.
No longer used to acquire heavy Power Weapons, Left is always a randomized Primary Weapon, Right is a randomized mid-level weapon (Needler, SAW, PP, Boltshot), and Down is a randomized grenade drop equal to the number of grenades of that type the player can carry (2 by default, 3 if using Grenadier). (Custom option, but programmed into the new default versions of each map/gametype)
Personal Ordinance now set on a timer as opposed to scoring. Everyone gets there personal ordinance at customizable points in time in the game.
