Why do all of the guns sound like lava-spitting? Human, covenant, forerunner…they all sound so wimpy. The Halo 3 and Halo Reach sounds were much more satisfying. I know that 343 did all the sounds from scratch, but right now it just doesn’t seem good. Please fix!
I love the new guns, they may not sound anything like previous Halo games, or even recognisable as a Halo game’s weapon sounds, but they are awesome.
It’s too late to change them, the game has gone gold.

Well I’ll get the game regardless, but hopefully they’ll change it for 5 and 6 (and 7,8,and 9).
Videos do not do the sounds justice. Every gun sounded INCREDIBLY powerful, especially when wearing a headset. When I fired the sniper, I actually jumped at how loud and strong it sounded. The sounds are awesome.

I found this to be exactly the case when I played it. Videos really don’t do the weapon sounds justice. The DMR has such a punch to it.
Also you need a good sound system xD.
They sound good, they sound like real guns they are recordings of real guns with minor tweaks. Idk if you have ever fired a gun before but it doesnt sound like it does in hollywood, let alone The other halos.
I played them at Eurogamer, wearing Tritton headsets. Suffice to say, I had an eargasm.
The sounds are fantastic.
Unless a video has really high quality sound, and unless you have a really good sound system to go with it, you’re always gonna assume the guns sound dissatisfying. Just wait until you actually get to play it for real~ 
Haha ok yeah I’ve been watching Halo 4 games on youtube. Even though they’re HD, they very well could have poor audio recording. I haven’t played it myself.

You think the latest sounds are wimpy? Check your speakers, or maybe the bass was set too high when you were playing Reach or 3.

I think you’re the deaf one here, buddy. 
The only one I have a problem with is the Magnum. I’ve been saying it since E3: it sounds like it’s firing blobs of Jell-o, or like it’s firing under water. It definitely doesn’t have the “pop” that it used to. At all.

No, they definitely don’t all sound the same.

The Magnum in Halo 1 through 3 sounded entirely accurate, as did the Sniper Rifle. I’ve fired more guns than I can count.

If you really have the speaker set (I doubt) then you’ve broken it, haven’t correctly set it up, or you should see a doctor about your hearing.

Not all of us are children. Some of us are out of school. Some of us have real proper jobs.
And the weapons all sounding weak is not just my opinion. I’ve heard from multiple people around the forums that they sound all high pitched and not so powerful. The BR is the only decent beasty weapon.
