As we saw with halo 4, we lost many guns compared to previous halo games. 343 since you are already going to try ADS (Aim Down Sights) game-style with halo 5, perhaps you also try a new, impressive arsenal?
Heres what Im thinking, I think it would be a nice change in halo multiplayer to have many different types of the same gun. For example, lets say you like the halo 2 magnum over the halo 5 magnum, wouldn’t it be sweet if we could have both? I think it would be. same with battle rifles, lets just say we like the halo2/3 battle rifle more that halo 5’s wouldn’t it be awesome if everyone could have the BR they enjoy most? I dont know just a crazy Idea, what do you guys think? Yay or nay?
Halo 5: Guardians doesn’t have ADS. It has Smart Scope, which looks like ADS, but functions just as zoom has in the past with Halo. It’s very much just a reskin of the old zoom.
Meh, the problem is that the more weapons you add the harder it becomes to balance gameplay (see. optimizing a system with more and more and more constraints. The solution becomes much more difficult to find even when you have mathematics to draw upon.) There should certainly be variety to Halo’s sandbox but that’s not best achieved with the Dr. Mario approach to weaponry (Super Smash Bros. reference.)

Good point, but, from the gameplay I’ve seen (basically all of it that’s been released) I don’t think there’s a problem with the gun amount. However, I have concerns about the rumors that the Prophet’s Bane will be in Guardians along with the classic Energy Sword, that could create that problem.
How’s that impressive? It’s just a cluttered mess of the same guns being very slightly tweaked and given a new paint job, over and over again. No, make each weapon unique. COD’s arsenal isn’t impressive, its redundant. You should play Unreal, Xonotic, or Perfect Dark, those are all fun, unique guns, these games have what you call impressive arsenals.
