This happened to me at least 3 times in the last SWAT game I played, resulting in unncessary and unbelieveble deaths.
I headshot the guy, he dies, then I die and he never fired a shot!
The (horrible) kill cam shows that i kill the guy, then his gun fires as it hits the ground.

When he died he pulled the trigger. Ever see any of those movies where a guy gets shot dead and ends up pulling the trigger?
yes. and thats exactly whats happening. Which is the stupidest thing to put in a halo game. It gives players so many uncessasary deaths, its stupid.

lol, the same thing has happened to me multiple times in Spartan Ops shooting jackels. They drop their beam rifle and it hits the ground it would go off and zap me.
