The Recon SMG with silencer and Tactical Magnum are close enough to their ODST counterparts. However I would love to see the Chopper and Mauler make a return, and Missle Pod would make a great handheld AA weapon.

The Missle Pod was another turret in Halo 3. The Rocket Turret is hard to use on ground units and fires a volley of rockets, while Missle Pod fires very fast missles that are easy to kill ground units with, and only fire one at a time.

I mean I’m not against it. I loved playing with it and using it whilst clearing out scarabs in several missions of Halo 3, but I doubt 343 would take the time to skin and implement a unique missile pod. They might just make a ultra rare / legendary rocket turret variant that is similar to missile pod

Also you’re thinking of the Falcon, and for the Covenant Rifle it is called a Focus Rifle.

Oh, I thought you didn’t know what it was. Oh well. I don’t think 343 will bring it back, but one can dream right? The Grenade Laucher came back right, that is one dream off the list.
the mauler would be good to make a return but it would need higher damage but i have a idea about the unique version when walking slow with it u have active camo because the brutes had active camo almost all the time when they had it

The weapons and vehicles that come to mind that should come back is the brute shot, chopper, and the mauler, all from Halo 3. They could also be bundled in a brute themed update, considering they are all from the brute faction.
Although I think they have added enough weapons to Halo 5. They just added my favorite all time weapon, the grenade launcher, so I’m happy.
Basicaly everything you listed is back, mainly the silenced SMG and magmum. The Needle Rifle is the Blood of Suban (although it received a large buff), while the missile pod is basically the rocket pod (with some differences). The Hornet I would also love to see back, although the wasp is basically a hornet with weaker DPS, health and no seats. The focus rifle from reach could return but it was never that popular so I doubt they would bring it back. I’m really hopig however that Halo Wars 2, and games from then on bring back the old brute technology and much more!

And no, needle rifle was useles, plus we have blood of suban and that is like a better version of the needle rifle
And the only transport that should make a comeback should be falcon, that would be cool

The ODST Suppressed SMG is technically the same as Halo 5’s SMG with a suppressor. The only difference is the visuals
i would love to have focus rifle variants…i was really good at melting faces in reach
