Guilty Spark Terminal

Guilty Spark Terminal cutscence or link to Halo Channel is broken.

After so many month after launch. The game is still broken. Talking about running the franchise to the ground.
The compensation from the DEV are a joke. Free stuff to shut up the community, I rather have a bug free game.
The game shouldn’t have launched. Stop using the gamers as your QA testers.
Spend a little more money or time on your own QA team/teams.

I think you may be a little late to the party. We’re all aware of the issues plaguing this game and we’re also aware of how long it’s been since Nov. 11th. I don’t think they read these forums. They always post things via neogaf.

It’s just us here. Waiting for patches and updates. We’re all in the same boat.

most have gotten better. heck when I was first going through the campaigns getting the skulls and terminals since the match making wasn’t working. well over half of the terminals didn’t work for me and mostly all of the ones that had to use the halo channel worked. also the achievement for getting a lot of the terminals wouldn’t pop for either hour and in some cased days later at some random time it would pop up.

Stop beating the dead horse, because unless you want to make a time machine to go back in time and slap whoever said it was okay to release the MCC, than it’s futile. You’re wasting your time, because no one is going to reply to you to say:

“We’re so sorry high overseer of our studio, even though you don’t work here. Let us give EVERYONE their money back, ten free games, and seventy seven years of XBL for free, because we’re the most naive developers of all time. Please forgive us, because we don’t already know we failed. I feel shame, ow, it hurts. If I don’t get YOUR forgiveness I will die of the unhappiness I feel right now. dies

You’re going to get a bug free game, don’t worry. What would you rather have them do, shut down all the servers, and make it so nobodies Xbox reads their game until it works in a month? Are you just that blind, or do you not understand that people WANT to play this game, such as myself. I’d rather play a broken game, than no game at all; You know why I say that? It’s because the launch already HAPPENED, you’re not about to stop it from happening because it’s in the PAST. No fraking duh the game shouldn’t have launched, none of the AAA games that came out last year should have launched, none of them worked. They’re not using us as QA testers, they’ve already got enough. They knew it had issues, but there’s only a handful of things that you can see with a few hundred testers. You can’t see MM not working, which in all honestly is the only major thing wrong with the game outside custom games being actually broken.

How much money are you going to spend on a QA team, because a thousand dollars a day per person isn’t going to make them see problems that are unforeseeable. It’s not going to help. So, here’s what I suggest you do:

A.) Stop playing the MCC until it works, the way you want it to.

B.) Shut up, and play the damn game.

C.) Stop posting on the forums, get a job at 343i, and fix the game with your bare hands like the real man that you are. Clearly, you know the in’s and out’s of game development, and most certainly networking; It should be easy for you to (Single-handedly) fix the game because you’re the bestest ever.

Sorry to tell you, you’re not going fix the game by yelling at 343i on the forums. You’d have a better chance of talking to the nearest wall, than you would complain to 343i. Not because they don’t listen, because they most certainly do, but because they’re not listening to the individuals that whine intensely about how the game’s broken. What’s broken about the MCC that they don’t already have written down somewhere? You’re not about to have this great epiphany of all the bugs in the universe to tell 343i about, so calm down.

I know that they aren’t aware or care this part of the forum unless i post links to the pirate bay. It’s good to know that there are people who has the same issue. Sometimes we need to fill this forum with this kind of stuff. It’s bad for them, but good for us. To be able to let out some anger. I can see, you do “Ido7smg”. It’s my turn to tell you, calm down.

I know a little of game development, but the problem usually lies with the management and there incompetent or greed.

I can’t agree on that part. If a game should be lanched within two years but noticed that was to modest timeframe and need another year or two, I will be fine with that. AAA game are more about getting most profit in shortest amount of time. Overstepping the time table is a no no. I know that we can’t change there way of thinking unless I buy the company, but I think that would be less likely then I get a job at 343 even then I can’t fix their way of think on the management level.

They certainly do care about this section of the forums, and I know for a fact that they scour it regularly in order to see community feedback-- especially on updates, and the like. It’s not always good to post/create threads that aren’t relevant, or just spiteful. When giving feedback you should at least have some constructive criticism - not just random complaints without any type of relevancy behind them. What makes the game bad, or how can they IMPROVE upon the content; Those are the types of things developers listen to, not just incessant whining about how everything is broken, and how they’ve apparently destroyed everything you held dear.

“Oh, hey 343i, there’s a glitch that causes my game to crash when playing Delta Halo on split screen co-op, I’d suggest looking into it, and patching it.” - This is an actual issue by the way.

It’s courteous, and respectfully written; Not harsh, and volatile like the rest of your post. Honestly, the first sentence of your original post was fine, but what you added to it was pointless-- What were you hoping to achieve? Did you want to make the poor developer that finds your post feel bad, because if so that’s not right, and it’s rude. These guys/gals already know the launch was bad, and they’ve been working day in, and day out to fix your game! The amount of effort being thrown into these patches is indomitable, and it’s a helluva lot of work. The launch however, is now in the past, there’s NOTHING they can do, nor you and I can do to change that. There’s really no point in complaining about what could have been, or what should have been, because hindsight is 20/20.

The reason I said “I’d rather play a broken game, than no game at all…” is because the game has already released, it’s been installed on my console. Sure, if I had been given the opportunity to delay the launch of the MCC (This is assuming I’d be able to know how big of an absolute conundrum of a release it was going to be, and that I had full knowledge of its bugs and issues) then I absolutely would delay it… But unfortunately I wasn’t there, and there’s a thing called “deadlines” that you’ve gotta commit yourself to. You say the game’s going to come out on the ten year anniversary of Halo 2? Well then, it’s your obligation to release the game on the ten year anniversary of Halo 2. MS set the date in stone at E3, and I’m sure there was no way of going back on it. They needed those sales, and the boost that a huge Halo collection would give to the Xbox One sales is undeniably large, and through proof of what happened it certainly was a large boon to the holiday sales of the console, broken and all.

Before I finish this post, I’d like to ask why you thought I was angry? I’m certainly not, I’m just trying to show you how far a little bit of logic can go when you actually use it. Being a considerate being, and not a complete jerk to other people, even if you think they’re somehow not regular Human beings because they’re game developers, can be quite beneficial to yourself, and those otherworldly devs. Hopefully you see my point in this post, and don’t take anything I’ve said as being hurtful in any way, because I don’t mean it to be so. I understand your disappointment, but you’ve gotta understand my logic.

Well the tone in your early post sounded hostile in part, that is why I reminded you to chill aswell.

I understand your logic and unfortunately I do know and share your understanding. I’m little tired of the shenanigans which the gaming industry is going thru. Year in and year out the same issue persist with most games these days. This kind of behavior kills a good gaming franchise. Well when the day comes, R.I.P.
