Guillotine's scaling is beyond horrible

I used to love headlong it was one of my favourite maps but this remake is just awful I feel like my Spartan is half the size he should be, it makes the map feel slow and dull and on top of all of that it’s down right hidious, it looked better in Halo 2 even!

What the heck is up with these maps!!

Don’t worry. We still have 3 other hideous maps to play.

We also have 6! Yes 6!! 6 different Warzone maps we can play. Yes 6!! 6 beautiful different varied spectacular warzone maps that have different armories and home bases! No copying and pasting for sure. :slight_smile:

I have never posted on this forum literally looked this up to vent about how crappy i think Gullotine is. The colours are all wrong, the scale it just looks and feels awful.

But in all seriousness, I don’t have a problem with it. I do however hate the Valhalla recreation.

Too many objects on screen causes the severe resolution scaling.
A non-Forge remake of Headlong would look a lot better and probably be less taxing on the hardware, and look sharper/high-res

I’ve not played in MM; but when I ran through on my own in customs; I felt the opposite. Like a giant in a small city.

Yeah its missing some routes and the pathways are way too small. its very weird to play on at first.

When you use autos its feels ok but using any kind of ranged weapons just feels weird. Also it just looks lazy at some areas.

IDK but i love GUILLOTINE it’s my favorite new map not sure what you guys were expecting maybe an exact remake of Headlong to scale…

I would have preferred it not be a forged map but at the same time impressed it was made with forge.
Just hoping more of the Free maps won’t be forged

Scaling like this happens when you attempt to impose “Spartan abilities” on a map that was never intended to use them. As with Truth, sprint (and other abilities) don’t make gameplay faster, they just result in absurd scaling.

It doesn’t help that 343i was too lazy to make real BTB maps.

the map did not look better in halo 2, did in reach but not halo 2. anyway the map is bigger because they needed to scale it to halo 5 otherwise it would of been like playing 8v8 on a 4v4 map, also have you not seen truth, it is like twice the size of midship.

I believe that they used forge maps to create hype for when it is released in December because we were never able to forge BTB maps before. this leads me to believe that proper BTB maps will be out later so just remain patient.

About maps, some people said that they don’t like Plaza, and I think it’s probability was nerfed, but it’s actually one of my favorite maps.
