Playing Halo since '04, starting with Halo 2, I own all the Halo games, Halo 4 replaced Halo 2 as my favorite game. I’m a very skilled Halo player and a veteran Halo player. And a huge Halo fan. But I guess I’m the only one of type of Halo fans who actually loves Halo 4 Sighs.
I feel like the odd one out.
It’s dead, and everyone complains about it. It’s sad really.
Right there with ya. Love the game, best one yet.

I enjoy the game but wouldn’t go that far. Halo 2 still holds that title and probably always will. Halo 4 does have A LOT of potential though.
Everyone I know that has been around since Halo CE/2 doesn’t really care for Halo 4 multiplayer. I don’t really care for it either, but we play it because it’s new. Forge and custom games are a huge disappointment.
I agree with you. Halo 4 is the best Halo to date. Halo Reach ruined Halo for what it is and detroyed the community with fighting and bashing of gaming studios and other games.
Everything is working as 343i intened them to for Halo 4. I dont see why people are saying things are broken when they are clearly not.
Idk, H2 was broke in a lot of ways. but to each their own i suppose.
I don’t get why it’s dead, and how it died so fast.

I can’t believe you’re a Halo 2 player and yet, you love Halo 4. Did you get the covers of COD mixed up with Halo? ;p

You should read some of the forum posts and see the explanations on why people don’t like Halo 4 now. Remember this is a BETA full of bugs and glitches and everyone is not happy to play a unfinished game. Did you know COD has a single playlist that exceeds the entire population of Halo 4? It’s believed that Call of Duty has a recipe which it has kept for a long time. With a few additions and graphics update, the core mechanics remained. Halo had this same recipe. Pickups were a common thing which Bungie expanded with the Bubble Shield etc. Then it failed with the loudouts, the whole “having the powerup there and then” thing. Even though the game changed, the detail, and core mechanics remained the same (apart from Sprint. Oh I’m sorry, Sprint punch punch).
Halo 4 changed way too much and failed to see the problems with Halo Reach. This is my reason to why it’s dying.
“2 men enter, the better man leaves. the lesser man is respawning, and that’s Halo.”
With pick ups such as the Overshield or Camo (for example The Pit), it was by chance that you had the better weapon or the skill to fight someone with these. It was a much better game.

I personally don’t even play it, even if it does have “HALO” written on the box.

Yes but a lot of the things wrong in Halo 2 made it more fun. Button glitches and super jumps come to mind.

Because the game is boring as -Yoink-.

to me those were just exploitations that ruined the balance of the game.
How is it dead if theres over 100k players online?

No because I hate COD, and I can tell you it’s nothing like COD.

No more so than 3 or Reach. It’s just people wanted something that doesn’t exist; their rose tinted idea of what Halo is, rather than the reality.
And I still maintain ODST was the best SP.

100k players in matchmaking. Halo 3 and Reach had 600k players in matchmaking at this point in their lifespan.

I had fun with them even though getting quad shot in the face on Midship would get pretty annoying. I liked the simplicity of the game. I personally think the 360 ruined Halo. It’s all about flashy graphics now.

And I haven’t played any of the recent CODs, but I’m fairly sure MW2 was pulling in a million players for months.

So was Halo 3 and COD 4, and it had tons of of competition.
I think Halo 4 is great! There are problems, but great. Idk about it being better than Halo 2 though, I do however think that it’s better than Reach and Halo 3.
