I never got that argument, which people always used as an insult. Destiny has arguably the most satisfying, robust combat system of any modern shooter on the market. Destiny WAS LITERALLY DEVELOPED BY BUNGIE. If anything, it’s a compliment because if Bungie stayed on after 3, 5 would still probably feel mostly the same.
I can’t say I’ve ever heard that argument/opinion once in the many years Halo 5 has been released.
FPS games are all going to feel somewhat similar, it’s aim and shoot for the most part, obviously each game has their own nuances too.
Halo 5’s increased mobility can feel similar to Destiny to some extent but I’d hardly call them anywhere near identical. All just depends on every players unique experiences.
I’d rather just enjoy the game for what it is than try to draw comparisons against other games all the time.
I think it’s the story that people compare those two with, not gameplay. I don’t get that either, because I feel like destiny has a solid story. Honestly, I don’t think halo 5 has a bad story either. It just wasn’t what we expected.
