Was the system that the guardian came to at the end of Halo 5 the Sol system? And was the EMP unleashed on Earth? If it was, UEG power would be badly hit. Is this the case?

I think it had ODPs in orbit, and as far as we know Earth is currently the only planet with those protecting it.
Earth is not the only planet with ODPs because we know New Carthage has them. It could be Earth at the end of Halo 5, but if it was then why did Cortana have difficulty locating a ship that was casually hanging out in Earth orbit?

I’m just going off what I remember, as far as I can recall all the other UNSC systems with them were destroyed in the war. Where in the timeline do we see that New Carthage has them? And how do we know exactly where Infinity was?
Also why exactly would they show a shot of a random planet with ODPs? It would make sense for the planet to be Earth, I could see Reach being shown if it hadn’t been destroyed, and I don’t think there is any other major named system left in the UNSC that we know of on the scale of Earth or Reach.

There may be other significant human colonies that have been re-colonized after the war that have large importance. But the land masses looked like Earth.
