I will not state how unless this is noticed by 343 as I DO NOT want to encourage this in matchmaking at all but there is an exploit for attackers where they can take over the armory before the central base is even taken. I was playing on Array and while spire was less than 50% taken, we had less than a minute to win as defenders. Suddenly, I hear that the ARMORY was taken and the clock reset. THE ARMORY! I went into theater to see how they did it and thy were T-bagging in celebration as they took the armory with no defenders. Meanwhile, we are trying our hardest to defend the spire and survive those few seconds. The armory was taken and soon the Spire. They essentially had 10 minutes to take over the spire. They didn’t need it but this stupid exploit lost the game. Now knowing how simple it is to just win over the armory like this, its discouraging to play. 343 please FIX this. Please put down if you’ve experienced something similar but DO NOT state how the exploit was done to prevent future cheating. And yes, we lost that game unfairly as some of our better players rage-quited.
On offense:
Walk to other base.
Stand at largest door (typically with a / shaped slant on the door.
Ground pound from the doorway into the little / slant.
Repeat until marines notice, face them to where they kill each other with bouncy shots.
WHen all 3 are dead, get on the roof, capture base, reset clock.
On Defense:
Check out the other base from time to time, it’s 3 mins to kill the marines this way.
