I’m truly hoping that by the launch of Halo Infinite they get the 900 series working as it is essentially my only chance at playing the game. I currently have a 980 Ti, and while I understand it is a very old card at this point it gives me absolutely no problems running most games at lower settings at 140+ FPS on 1080p. With the current market I just simply cannot afford a new GPU, and am also not sure I have the cash, or luck, to get a new console in time.
As far as performance goes, I am really not worried at all about how my 980 Ti will handle Infinite as I was able to play the Flight this weekend on my cousins laptop that only has a 1060 and it played it at 80-90 FPS. A stand alone 980 Ti is significantly stronger than a 1060 mobile chip. I’ve been playing Halo since 2004 and would be heartbroken if I couldn’t play the launch of Infinite.
Please Devs fix the 900 series problems before launch even though only a very small fraction of us still have them <3

I understand that was the problem. What I’m getting at is I hope they can find and fix whatever it is because I’m sure my 980 is more than capable of playing this game very decently at 1080p. I’m just worried because I just don’t have the funds at all right now for a GPU, and likely not a Series X before launch.
One further question though. Has the 900 series worked on any previous flight?

I would highly recommend spending the next 2 months saving up money. If you sell your 980ti (very old card) on ebay, you can get 300-350 for it. Then you can buy a 3060ti (lightyears ahead) for 750-800. You spend a total of 450-500 and you get a 4x better GPU

Just so you know, 900 series cards are not supported and 1000 series cards are because the 1000 series offer a feature that the 900 series don’t. It’s honestly time to prioritize your funds and get an upgrade. Or just spend 550 on the new xbox series x. That thing basically has a 3700x and a 3060 in it.

I don’t think advising to spend 450+ is warranted when 980ti is more than capable. This is a 343 problem, not a user problem.

??? Wrong, its a hardware problem. the 900 series are dinosaurs. If you want to continue to play new AAA games, you need an upgrade. Simple. Even the new xbox has a faster GPU than the 980ti lol

I play every modern BR and game at ~200 FPS on 1080 with the 980Ti. I understand it’s old, but it works. Every other modern game supports 900 series.

A quick google search says that Halo Infinite will be on Xbox one. Another quick google search provided me these results:
Xbox one launch date: November 22, 2013.
980 ti launch date: June 2, 2015.
So if 343 can make Infinite work on Xbox one they should be able to make it work on 980 ti. So once again, this is not a user problem, its a 343 problem.

if they support xbox one, then the gtx 9xx should also have support. it’s plenty powerful enough for 900-1080p
