Because as you can see in the background theres a covenant boarding ship and that hangar looks very similar to the hangar in halo 2’s first mission and as it also stated in the GI article there is gonna be a prologue for the people who arent that much into playing halo or sumthn so yeah wat do u think?
Possible, that and other renderings could infact be from the prologue rather than actual in game events
Not to be rude, but that Grunt looks nothing like a Halo 2 Grunt. It has green skin instead of dark grey, it grew another toe on each foot, it grew finger (or more or less claw) nails, it morphed its feet flatter and not round, hoof like in Halo 2. It also looks like the spiny arms have taken a shave-down, too.
Could be for a Spartan Ops mission. How would they have known what Spartan Ops would be like if they didn’t try a mission or two? But my bet is on Covenant pirates, not all Covenant were military.

yes that may be so but remember its a new company making halo so they wanna leave their mark

No doubt, but don’t change the whole entire species to look like that. Make it like Bungie did with the Skirmishers. I really don’t want all of the Grunts to look like the one in the picture.
