Honestly I do not like the looks of a grunt. They look so weird and odd and look much better in the other games such as halo reach and halo 3. Whats your opinion of the grunts in halo 4? What do you think of them?
they do look weird…and their helmet is pointless. i do like the game mechanics tho…unless they flip me on a ghost,then it is broken…
Easier to headshot though. I prefer them. They look like turtles. I just wish the Covenant spoke English like in Halo 3.

I was actually shocked to see them in this design for Halo 4. They did look very nice in the previous titles, especially with Reach! But now, jeez!! And the sounds of their voices… What was up with that?! But in the end, you get used to it… shooting them, crushing them, making road kills out of them… the usual -Yoink- lol.

Grunts look trashy, but their armor’s okay.
ALL grunts are ugly unless they’re under a hog’ tire.
Yeah grunts kinda lost their ‘‘charm’’ and likeablilty when they started speaking in different languages and had tubes coming out their noses instead of the gas masks. It always nice to here a, ‘‘Monster!’’ every once in while.
I really liked the nostril tube. Seeing their mouths made me want to kill them more lol. They were certainly handled differently. They are meant to be a terrifying enemy, not a funny chirping character for comic relief. I think the H4 grunts more closely resembled the way the grunts ACT in the books and EU. Not look, mind you, I’m just talking about their behaviour.
I think 343 wanted them to look more realistic.

Yes, they look a little bit more different than the other games. If you want an exactly answer why, if I’m not wrong is because the Covenant faction of Jul M’dama mutated a few grunts where is the origins of the grunts of Halo 4. Anyway, I prefer the other grunt in Halo games, the “classic” grunts.

Not necessary, the Elites look a little more badass in Halo 4. But the grunts are uglier than the classic.
