I was just thinking that when there tanks are empty how do they breath…my thought was that…lol…they had a tube connected to there -Yoink!- and they breath when they FART

When they run out of gas, they die. That is what SHOULD happen
if a grunt actually lives through a battle, there is methane reserves at the covenant camps and on the covenant ships so that they can refill their tanks, which is why you never see a grunt suffocate. and if you punch their backs sometimes their tank comes off and they die because of the lack of methane.

This doesn’t really relate to Halo 4 specifically. It would probably be better off in Halo Universe since it’s talking about Halo in general.
Maybe it takes methane from the atmosphere if needed.
