Can a grunt hit you on any of the halo on any difficulty?
Not in melee, no, I’ve never seen that happen.

I think it was in H2, they had a melee, but it was only for moving objects and debris. It didn’t do any damage, and was never used in combat. . . I think.

I usually see them doing that on the level ‘Sacred Icon’ because they sometimes need to move the little door that flies off the Sentinels’ spawners after you blow them up
I’ve always wondered: How did the Unggoy even have a rebellion. It could be squashed out very quickly, especially if all of the species in the covenant had worked together. (Still a little foggy on the details of the Unggoy Rebellion.

The Grunts have better combat prowess than a lot of people believe. Even in the games they can easily kill you with powerful weapons such as fuel roads and catch you off guide. That, coupled with their high breeding rates, can make them formidable enemies. Working together, they can decimate entire squads of humans soldiers through numbers alone. It’s a mistake to think they’re completely inept at fighting.
I can honestly see how a Grunt rebellion could be a real threat to Covenant seeing as they outnumber many of the races and trying to maintain order would be difficult given the size and range of the conflict. It would occur internally on the Covenant’s homeworld so they could bombard from orbit in most cases. In the end, the rebellion could only be ended by partially glassing the Grunt’s homeworld and the billions that live there. The Grunts were forced to surrender at that point.
I thought only bigger mobs could melee.

Lol. I’m just imagining one or two unggoy punching a marine in the leg as he chuckles to himself. Gradually, more unggoy show up and the marine’s laughter becomes nervous while he struggles to wade through the slowly forming horde. He then begins to panic when he becomes inundated by little grunts punching his legs as he loses his footing and disappears under a sea of them. An explosion of confetti emanates from the spot the marine fell and the grunts cheer.

Although the thought of that happening is hilarious, Grunts are like 5 feet tall. To an unarmored person, a few grunts punching them in the face, especially with their scaly skin, would not be fun!

I believe it was in contact Harvest when the jackals were teasing a grunt and dropped a watermelon on his head and the grunt was perfectly fine. At that moment I realized how durable the little dudes are.
