The new grunt Mechs are pretty cool I admit, the design and the concept is very nice. However, actually fighting them is just not great, simply because they are extremely powerful. You have to know exactly what you’re doing to avoid being killed before you even think about trying to damage them. Sure you can grab a scorpion or a wraith or banshee or whatever you want, but enjoy having to constantly get out of the way when it sees you. And the amount of health! Their ultra needle attack is crazy annoying when you’re just fighting random enemies: Oh I’ll just shoot this elite, oh no wait, the heat-seeking needles have just decided to kill me - even though I’m not even in sight of the mech! Yes, I understand that the point is that they’re supposed to be powerful, but they’re so powerful that they are not fun to fight! 343 said they understood we didn’t want to fight Warden at the end of every Warzone game. Well I don’t want to fight stupidly overpowered grunts either - In fact, I’ll take Warden over one of those things anyday. I think some balancing may be needed. What do you guys think?
There are just too much of them.
I mean they are on nearly every map,and that is way too much.
How about using a Laser Mantis to help counter the Grunt Goblins? You literally remove the standard machine gun from the Mantis, then mount a huge–Yoink- Spartan Laser in its place. Just imagine all the damage and chaos waiting to happen. Heck, I even made a separate forum post about it: Link
Yeahhh they’re a little OP.

Exactly! Personally I don’t want to fight those guys all the time.
I’ve found the Warden(s) to be easier to defeat than the Deacon. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Warzone FF match where my fireteam has won against that boss. And not only is the Deacon incredibly powerful and spongey, but his taunts get a bit obnoxious after a while due to his voice. Amusing at first, but quickly began to grate on my ears. Meanwhile, the Warden and his Promethean Soldiers are obnoxious because of their constant chatter (I think the Soldiers had inherited a “Warden complex”). XD

At least the Prometheans sound cool (or at least up to a point). And Warden is not just a huge sponge if you know what you’re doing - unlike (as you said) Deacon.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’d much rather fight the Grunt Mech. I always seem to get destroyed by the warden when I’m in vehicles in firefight, his EMP power is totally overpowered. I’m generally pretty good at avoiding the Mech’s fire in a warthog or Banshee.
OP as hell. They pose a strong challenge but when two spawn it’s GG lol
Whoa, guys I just had an idea. What if the Goblin is actually being played by a 343 member? What if we are actually killing a developer?!
I have found that working as a team seems to make it easier. I know it’s hard to do when you join solo.
Yeah… The sad thing is, is like soldiers, they could be amazing to fight! They have really cool movement mechanics, and fighting abilities. They just have way too much health… And their melee an needles are a tad op.
A little less health and give it the ability to actually miss some shots if you’re nimble about it. It’s seriously never missed me even with dashes or strafing. I don’t think I’ve ever won a game against a Deacon either. I think if they picked one or the other (I mean health or damage) then it would be better. Make him a sponge but doesn’t wipe the map clean with every needle attack or make him do a lot of damage but weak to power weapons and vehicles to bring him down. But it’s not enjoyable if he has both.
You can get a quicker kill on the grunt mech - if you can get through the cockpit screen and get a binary rifle shot in they go down in no time at all. Easy said than done though.

First off, there are quite easy to kill and I don’t see what you mean by saying they are hard to kill. Their attacks aren’t that hard to dodge and of course they have a lot of heath; they’re a boss. I find them quite fun to kill and wish they showed up more often. Just get a good gun and shoot them a lot! Or you can try that Binary rifle glitch

(havent used it myself so I am not sure how it works or if it still does work) if you don’t want to take the time to kill him.

Haven’t tried it myself either - just thought it was worth a share.

So that’s why they made it annoying,it’s just a potrayAL of themselves
Alongside my idea of a Laser Mantis to counter the Grunt Goblins, how about having a “High Mobility Mantis” that is able to run, jump, evade, and fly for short moments?

You know, I have heard of it before and discussed it a little bit; I think it is probably a glitch but some one pointed out how in CE you could 1 shot a hunter with a pistol so maybe it is like that. I am not sure myself though.
