Anyone else have trouble getting this commendation done? I have gotten the red x for killing the mech but it never counted toward the commendation. Idk why. I have checked and a few players have gotten the red x but a few where I only got it myself. Yet still doesn’t count. Does it have to just be myself that gets the red x for it to count?
You also have to get the Grunt kill medal so you’ll see two medals instead of just one when you get it.
Do you do the spartan laser on the windshield trick? That never fails.
It’s usually the last hit on the boss before it dies to get it.
You have to get the kill shot to get it. If your medal says participate in the kill it’s no banana. Took me 1 1/2 yrs to get the Warden.

Oh, I need to try that. I normally use the tank and wait till the last tiny bit of health to take the shot but doesn’t give me the kill shot.
I’ve found using an Answer right when he is about to croak usually works for me. Just get up on him and blast away.
i have none of this and not intend to get it. seems warden comm all over again.
Best thing to do is fire everything you have at him when he is about to die and just hope you deal the killing blow. Play enough FF, and honestly don’t even think about it and you should finish up the commendation in no time.

I used a Wraith and pushed him away so everyone else wouldn’t be able to do any damage to him but me and kept firing till he was dead. Worked every time

ahh, that is why i cant seem to get it. That is kind of dumb though, it makes it two hard to actually get the grunt kill.

I’ve got 1 Mech Grunt kill and have no idea when I got that one… lol. The only time I play FF is when I have a Rare or above Victory Boost to use. Almost a sure win.
Honestly I found the fastest way to break his shield is plasma rifle, just make sure you don’t miss or have a buddy helping to break it and the use a headshot weapon to kill the grunt. I’ve solo’d a goblin doing this but haven’t tried on legendary because fudge that
