Grunt/Marine Dialogue

I love the funny grunt and marine quotes from the game. I just heard a great one after a kill in WZFF, another grunt said “They’re shooting us in the head?.. I keep all my brains in there!”

Anyway, just wanted to share that gem because it made me laugh. What are some good ones you have heard?

I love the dialogue, vastly improved upon Halo 4 when you couldn’t understand what the covenant was saying.

Great find. Yeah, I have loved the dialog in Halo games since Halo CE. Bungie was savvy and great with 'little thing’s that add so much value. 343 has carried on the tradition as well as it can.

I love these little gems.

I like many of the old lines. Like in Halo 3 I think a Grunt can say “He was my best friend!” after killing another grunt.

I’ll say this though. I find the Grunt Mech to be incredibly unfunny and just annoying at times.

He killed Yip Yap or was it Yap Yip!
I love the missions where the grunts would be sleeping, it be cool if there were little zzz floating above their heads, just my opinion though.

I love the dialogue it is so funny

During Halo 4, it was considered taboo to perform human actions within the Covenant remnants. Weapons, language, etc.

Really. It felt weird not hearing the grunts speak English. Plus it would have made the game much funnier.

At least the Grunts are back to their goofy selves in Halo 5.

Yeah I love the humour.

Yeah that was one of the things I liked about Bungie was they never took themselves too seriously and liked to sneak in sarcasm and jokes in dialogue or chapter names, 343i seems to be doing more of that with 5 than 4.

I miss the halo 3 grunts that said (along the lines of) “this ones for your mama” when throwing a grenade, or the one on the last mission that offers to polish chiefs helmet😆

I was playing Halo 3 earlier. After being killed I thought I heard one of the Grunts say “I get his helmet!” Too many good lines in that game.

Grunts and Marines from the previous games probably have the best dialogue. Great find though and better then Halo 4.

Ya some dialogue can be really funny!

So true😆

I’m always so confused when the marines say “Lets unleash the full force of the core,” or something like that. What does the core even do? But yeah, I love the grunts.

I think they might mean “Corps”, as in UNSC Marine Corps.

It’s does sound a lot like core, though.

Mind blown haha, I never knew they said corps. I always assumed they said core.

But at the same, we all know the corps don’t stand a chance against spartans xD

Dude…That is one of my favorite parts of Halo…Kind of what makes Halo…Well…HALO…I liked how certain Marines had different accents and ways of speaking which enforces that feeling of these are space marines who were trained and volunteered from all around the world…In Turth and Reconcillation you can find a bunch of those Marines…They really enforce the tone of what you’re playing through! Same thing with the enemy A.I
