Has any one else noticed that the goblins 360 attack can pretty much go as far as it wants. I was as far away from the grunt goblin as I possibly could be and the needles had no trouble reaching me.

I find being on foot and thrusting behind cover helpful. I’ve had the needles go over cover to hit me when I’ve been in a tank.
I heard people mention that on Noctus in Warzone, moment Grunt Goblin spawns the entire middle zone (Monument area?) becomes a No Man’s Land as his Needlers will just slaughter everyone that tries to cross.

Not really, you can usually use the barriers around the ramp for cover. I personally like to grab my BR bayonet and go around killing the people trying to weaken him and the when he gets low on health grab a fuel rod and a damage boost to finish him off.

I have a semi-example that isn’t range persay, but my example shows that needles can track for as long as they need to in order to get to you unless obstructed by an object.
In short, the needles spin around my Phateon until it hits me and explodes.
Unrelated note is how getting hit by his arm-Needler can destroy you instantly, from full health even with Wheelman

I’ll check those out when I get home as well. My first experience with the goblin was spawning late on WZFF on Apex and calling in a corp scorpion. I took one shot at him and then rolled behind the rocks near blue armory for cover. Only to get one shotted by the bloody needles.

I think the big problem is that the Needles don’t aim for the vehicle, it aims for the pilot inside the vehicle. Then when the needles explode, the close proximity damages the Spartan inside and kills them.
Basically the Grunt Goblin sees every vehicle as a Ghost or Mongoose, and just shoots the player out.
I was driving my tank to engage him where he spawns down on that beach on apex and I was coming in from the right, I hadn’t even seen him yet and before I even clear the corner his homing needles hit my tank. I was laughing at how much the game cheats and pretends its a challenge.
Those Grunt Boss’s needles are too overpowered. They can easily destroy a tank if your exposed for too long, and they make a bigger threat than the Warden Eternal it seems.
Just experienced it on noctus from the garage but in that instance I was sniping him. (Haven’t seen what people are on about sniping him it looked like it was just doing 4 times more damage than my dmr. )
I’m not sure but hiding in cover doesn’t help if they aren’t targeting you cause they casually go around the cover then go straight for you once your in range.
I have noticed as well if you get super close to him when he does the needle attach they should go over your head.

Yea he slays everything around him
When I fly far away from him he sometimes just shoot from far away and I’m flying with the banshee don’t even noticing him and my banshee is mostly destroyed
The Needle attack is crazy. Worse against flying vehicles as banshees have a hard time evading it.
I find ghost ultras best against him. They have the mobility to get behind cover quickly.
Mantis is decent, but its mobility sucks.
