Grunt Easter Egg on HOME MENU

So appearantly I found an easter egg 343 added to the game, not sure if I’m the first to see this but I have a screenshot of it check it, on the Lower right there was a grunt floating on my screen out of nowhere. I was just sitting in the lobby for like 3 hours before it appeared.

Grunt Hello!

I think you have to be idle on the menu screen for about 6 min for him to come floating in.

I saw this as well. The first time I saw it, I thought it was hilarious. I think this grunt needs a backstory telling how he ended up floating in space outside the UNSC Infinity. Another thought… Can grunts survive a good while in the vacuum of space? They are already wearing their methane tanks. Maybe something about their physiology makes them more resistant to the effects of vacuum and extreme temperatures? It gets me thinking about other species that might survive in space as well, like Lekgolo worms, the Yanme’e, or even Huragok?

They would need additional gear to protect their more vulnerable fleshy bits, but as long as they have the methane rebreather and a fresh tank, they could survive for a fairly long amount of time.

The Huragok wouldn’t, at least not without gear. Seeing a Lekgolo in space would be hilarious, though. Not quite sure about Yanme’e, but I doubt it. Like, Emperor Nova said, they would need aditional gear and a fresh tank.
In Halo 4 during the first mission on campaign you can eject the landing parties, so maybe that’s how he got there.

That would make sense XD I like your way of him getting there.

I think it is quite common actually. I saw it the first time I played the game. I was just sitting back, enjoying the graphics and score, and then after about 5 minutes or so, the grunt appeared. It was pretty funny.

Noticed it once before. But then again, I don’t really stay in the menus a lot.

I am over sr 100 right now and i have never ever seen it before…
