Hi all!
Firstly, I’d like to say how much I loved the beta and I cannot wait to get back into it later in the year!
Now, to the matter at hand. The button binding of the ‘Ground Pound’ spartan ability is obviously going to be changed on many control schemes (at the very least the default scheme) in the final version of the game. I would just like to give my two cents here, and ask the developer’s at 343i (if any are reading this) to keep in mind that not everyone will be using the default scheme, and to be careful with button placement on other schemes.
Personally, I have been using ‘Bumper Jumper’ for around a year now and my play has drastically improved because of that (among other things). My real fear is that when buttons are moved around on the default scheme, other schemes will be affected in a negative way. The bump jump scheme, in my opinion, is perfect the way it was in the beta, and I know people who use Recon who are also extremely happy with their scheme in Halo 5.
All I ask is to be careful and ensure that all the respective control schemes still maintain their strengths, and no control schemes are made redundant by these inevitable changes.
But aside from that little worry of mine, Halo 5 is shaping up to bring Halo back where it belongs: On top!
Does anyone else have any concerns regarding changes to Halo 5 post-beta?
