Ground Pound, Shoulder Charge stuffs Assassination

Shoulder charge and Ground Pound Stuffs up Assassinations. If ur running behind someone and u want to get a assassination on them u need to completely stop running in order to assassinate them and not just shoulder charge them in the back, Ground pound, if ur trying to get a mid air assassination or a Ninja half the time ground pound will kick in and u’ll miss ur chance for the assassination. The way i see this can be fixed in a future update is that shoulder charge is moved or has an option too move it too another button as a secondary feature. And for ground pound it can only be activated if ur high enough in the air (Because it can still be activated but have little too no effect on the target just by jumping up) or an option too change it too another button as a secondary feature. Personally i would love an update too fix this cause i’ve missed so many assassination opportunities because i would accidentally shoulder charge them or ground pound would kick in when i’m in the air after a single jump on a flat surface. Who else sees the problem in this and would like it too be changed/fixed?

I feel your pain, ultimately i could care less if others use it but i want it gone. As in, opt out entirely. Never needed it before, dont need it now.

I don’t mean get rid of them i mean don’t get me wrong i love using them (Shoulder charge not so much u learn too hate it after playing destiny with a bunch of striker titans) i mean just include options to change what buttons they activate on instead of been on the melee button so i can actually assassinate without the worry of a accidental shoulder charge or ground pound activation,

If they are on the ground, try sliding to their back to bypass the shoulder charge. That’s what I’ve been doing, and it works usually.

This terrible mechanic is driving me crazy!

I have gotten hosed on this as well. It does make those assassinations I get that much more special though.

Whenever I assassinate an enemy…

Maybe it was me… I do steal assassinations, but only if they get on the middle of my kill, I just claim whats mine.

This x1000. I just want my abilities to be optional so I could assassinate without having to consciously set up wasting all this time or completely stopping in midair looking like an idiot.

I just toggle off sprint before I melee it works for me. And both of these new “melee” mechanics are wonderful additions they add more options to engaging a target or finishing a target.

In fact there have been times where I am glad I can charge instead of assassinate cause there are three there. When my charge lands I bounce back out of his two team mates melee range, drop a nade and either scatter them or weaken them and finish them up.

Also forgot to mention my bit on the ground pound. There is nothing better than getting put to no shield by someone get up around the corner, jump float there and pound into him launching him back and burning him down cause he was too quick on his rush. Or seeing a large fire fight and dropping in onto a pair killing them off and helping your team push the remaining two that took off with no shield

Gonna try this. Sometimes i go for a shoulder charge in the back for an instant kill, all depends on the situation. Assassinations are still my fav though

I like to have the option. Charging is best but assassinating is so satisfying.

i deactivated the assassinations. they are cool, but you spend too much time exposed to enemies.

but i agree…should be moved to other buttons or have the chance to deactivate them (i also deactivated this “smart” link thing that makes you hover on air when you aim

I agree they are great additions too the game i just want too see an option too change what button they activate on because i still love too get assassinations and the occasional ninja but these spartan abilities (Especially ground pound) makes it so much more difficult and awkward too do.

They should change ground pound to holding crouch in air and make Spartan charge holding crouch and slide tapping it like beat down and assassination

I’m fine with the ground pound idea as long as the stick too aim it is the movement stick not a fan of ur shoulder charge idea though cause sometimes i don’t wanna slide i just wanna crouch where i am.

I’ve accidentally held melee a buncha times with jump melees. I never even knew I did this, but man…it frustrated the crap out of me to die cause I held the dumb button too long. I have to program myself to stop since I’ve got not other options. On assassinations, I know the struggle. I disable them for arena, but in warzone I sometimes want to pull some off but end up charging. I’ll have to try that slide method mentioned here.

I posted a thread about it since my playmates are saying how they could have ninja’ed someone,only to end up activating ground pound.
My idea was to disable the activation of ground pound when someone is within melee range.Or only be able to activate ground pound if we are above the typical jump’s height.

Good idea but i think too change the problem people were complaining about it been on the crouch button is too change the stick u can aim it on.
