Ground pound should be remapped to LS again.

Ground pound doesn’t work if it mapped to the melee button if you’re using Recon. And probably other schemes as well.
Hear me out, but I think ground pound should be returned to the way it was in the Beta. Because as it was in the Beta you could aim your ground pound while mid air. But if you’re holding “B” to ground pound how do you aim with the right stick? The argument to change the button configuration was so that you would be able crouch jump. But doesn’t clamber allow you to get to higher places than a mere crouch jump? How will you aim you ground pound if you have to hold B?

I agree, its very funky sounding. I haven’t tried playing it obviously, but when I think about that layout, my right thumb will be occupied by holding B…so how in the hell am I going to pinpoint where im going to land with the right thumbstick? Have they even playtested this lol!

Disagree to me that made no sense why would it be ls that’s the sprint button… that’s more sense for the melee to be it.
and I use green thumb so it’s rs for me real easy if it’s melee

I’m sure there will be multiple button layouts to choose from and I can’t imagine a multi-million dollar game franchise that has issues mapping buttons to core mechanics.

It makes better sense for it to be melee.

But you right thumb should be on the stick and you should have a finger on the b/y… do you not play claw?

IDK I play Bumper Jumper. Possibly hold melee button? i am not sure what the layout is since the Beta.

Nope, I play with one finger on each trigger area, all other 3 are gripping the controller. I tend to lock down on the controller pretty hard when playing. I’ve never used my forefinger to hit the ABXY buttons. I usually always stick with the default control scheme in these games but for Halo 5 I might have to play around with the settings. Using B to ground pound is workable, it might just take some getting used to IMO.

Ls should be for crouch… Jump crouching while being shot difficult the job for the enemy… That’s why they are changing it.

No. Every time I went to gandhi hop or crouch jump in the beta, the game thought I was trying to use GP. It was really annoying, and I’m glad GP got moved to B.

I use Universal Reclaimer/Halo 4, so my melee is on the right bumper, where I like it. I never liked “B” for melee, not even in the CE days.

Claw or use layouts like Bumper Jumper.

We just need complete button mapping. Let us choose what buttons do what.

yes crouch jumping R tards can go F themselves

Do what i did when using h4 in the beta. Use you index finger to press B. Its wierd at first, but made a habit for h3 melee kills

I didn’t think the beta was bad. Either way, I have a 4 pad Scuf so I’m covered.

Right. I use Recon, so it’s B for me. It’s something else for you, which may work fine. But it doesn’t work for the Recon control scheme.

all keys should be mapable to player preference. I have been saying this since Golden Eye and I wish others would demand it.

that’s my sprint button, I personally think it would work on the d pad. I think it could work, obviously I want the Spartan charge on bumpers or something but I probably won’t use ground pound and d pad lets you aim freely.

also I claw my controller so I can basically hold B with index, aim with thumb and then smash with RT I think it is, didn’t play beta, with my middle or ring finger.

Hold “RB” and “LB” for ground pound.

This would allow us crouch jump (not needed anyway) meele and aim while GP without a problem.

If hope they read and think about this.
