On the Recon control scheme, ground pound will be on the “B” button. If I’m holding the “B” button when ground pounding, I won’t be able to look around with the right stick. This will cause major issues.
You could always get the new xbox controller. It will let you avoid that problem.
That or just get used to the default control scheme…
Or, you can just buy a scuf, or elite controller like everyone else that didn’t want to be limited by their controller layout.
Or 343i could just allow us to make custom control schemes like in Skyrim.
This is the exact reason why I’m going with the elite controller from Microsoft.
Agreed, the beta was somewhat difficult because of this

Really? You want me to pay $150 dollars for a problem that 343 is causing? Uh… No

The Recon control scheme really doesn’t work for Halo 5, there’s really no way to fix it without changing the control scheme, so you don’t necessarily have to drop $150 on an elite controller but id recommend getting used to the default or another control scheme. Basically what remapping is going to do anyways.
If possible, easy fix for this (as it has to my knowledge zero function when Ground Pounding) would be to have the left stick be used for aiming when in GP mode for Recon.
Must adapt.
Aw great…I use Recon.
Do what i do, if i needed to melee while aiming, i use my index finger for (B) and thumb on the stick. I made it a habit in h3.
Thank God I’m not the only one concerned about this!
This is a very big problem. D:
Or, you could just learn to play claw.

This right here. I was using the Halo 4 control scheme, and B was Crouch/Ground Pound. You have to use your index finger to hold B and then use your thumb for the right stick. It’s really awkward, but it works.
