ground pound op

Please 343, if you won’t get rid of ground pound at least nerf it (a lot). At the end of this video a player demostrates the absurd range and splash damage of this attack. This seriously has no place in a halo games mp, most of the other stuff looks kinda cool but this looks kinda silly.

Its not really OP because as demonstrated a couple of times you are completely vulnerable to attack while charging it up and plus you could easily miss if your aim isn’t that good.

I think 1. The charge time needs to be increased and 2. There shouldn’t be THAT much splash damage it’s like an button press kill ability from half way across the map.

This distance worries me. But an aware player can just dash out of the way. I will have to see how it plays in the beta before I start barking for a nerf.

You are vulnerable for less than a second and it’s a 1 hit kill. The only people that will miss with an attack like this (that has splash damage) will be the lower level players. The high level players will destroy people with this.

Everyone who has played the game explains how it was really difficult to use, and they usually die before they hit anyone.

How about we wait for the beta before we start calling stuff over powered?

This is what I was initially thinking too, but after watching the new footage it looks like you can initiate it fairly fast.

No one can be that skilled

Ground Pound should take shields on a DIRECT hit. Splash damage should be half shields.

But if it only does that there would be no point in using Ground Pound as they would kill you or assassinate you while you recover from the attack

It’ s just a cancerous feature and needs to be taken down

if you really pay attention you notice then no one ever sees the person Ground pounding but instead shooting at someone else, and they just move slightly or they get 1 or 2 Br shots on the person then they GP them and the splash kiills, and they do it HIGH UP so its not easy to notice them but i saw 2 chargeing and its just a melee that throws people far back and has a SWEET animation

it does need to be nerfed after watching the videos. its distance is to far, the charge up time to use it is to quick and there doesnt seem to be a penalty for using it. that said the players didnt try and dodge it with thrust, and we dont know what the victim sees on there end when the other is using gp

I want a game mode where one team has to survive whilst the enemy ground pounds from miles up high.

It needs an obvious range reduction and damage radius reduction. Maybe we can lock it to a certain angle that the reticule can pass or else you get kicked out of charging it. I would also take away it’s splash damage ability, it should be you hit the player directly to get the kill, or you don’t harm them at all if you miss.

as of now you can fly around the map because it has an absurd range, and might get lucky and kill someone because its damage radius is so large. This is bad, but this what a beta is for.

The latest Halo 5: Guardians Beta footage shown in the weekly bulletin shows that the Ground Pound reticle has been removed. It was pretty hard to get a kill with it before, so it should be much harder now. Plus, how can anyone here even say the mechanic is OP when none of you have even had a minute to play the game? Simply ridiculous.

I wanna know what happens if you kill someone while they ground pound towards you, like if you have the sword and slash at just the right moment can you kill them before they hit you? Bulltrue-esque

I have been saying this, the range is going to ruin vehicle gameplay. People will be supermaning slow, armored vehicles from a distance.

Also, the argument that it is hard to aim is stupid. Good players will learn how to use it then it will becomes an easy function.
