GRizzlies

even though I still think grizzlies were basically fine befor the buffs, do u guys think they are fine now?

alsooo, doesn’t the speed boost from forgehog only work on teammate units or can it work with ur units too?

A general consensus around here is that Grizzlies cost to much population, and not enough punch to be considered viable. Also forghog affects your units as well.

Not really. They need a better Y ability to be viable, and maybe a bit more health.

nah their fine, u just need to make sure to find a good way to get enough out,

they pack a lot of punch so I don’t get what u guys are saying

Due to the Grizzlie’s expensive population, you cannot make too many of them, and because of this, larger armies tend to destroy them, like mixed Scorpions and Cyclops. Grizzlies look good on paper, but they get out classed frequently by other units, because of population and cost.

When I make grizzlies , I focus on making fully upgraded marines as well as logistics . Works fine for me. I can keep them alive long enough .

I think u guys are underestimating their toughness, maybe ur not combining them with the right units

I concur with this, especially the health. I would rather have scorpions as grizzlies really don’t feel that “grizzly” if you know what I mean.

If making a lot doesn’t work , just make a few and keep them Alive and/or make sure u can get them back as fast as u can. Soiled like u guys are taking the wrong approach with how u guys make them

Aren’t they also very big and clunky to maneuver in similar fashion to Marauders?

yeah but it’s worth it for me

If you want to use them; you can. But for cost an population, they don’t perform the way they should. Scorpions and Wraiths are both top tier because their Y abilities hve high damage and AOE. The grizzly’s Y ability has high damage, but very small AOE, making it feel very “meh”. Combine that with an extreme lack of mobility, and you can’t disengage threats like anti-vehicle infantry. To effectively fill their role in high level play, they need higher health to be able to tank hits, and a better barrage ability to make them have the AOE other tanks do.

Grizzlies certainly aren’t BAD, per say, but for how much they cost they don’t perform nearly as well as they should.

They are better for defense than offense

the ability doesn’t need aoe, its great for taking out single targets of grat importance, like main bases

I’m not to sure about Deathmatch but in Blitz Grizzlies are a force to be reckoned with. They have high health and can with stand a huge amount of punishment.

Cost too much pop, are literally destroyed by their counters due to their Y ability, they move way way to slow, and their leader drop power takes literally the longest to recharge.

i dont find a Grizzly to be more effective than a Vulture and they cost more population and resources. As a Forge player the only reason i have them on the field at all is because the grizzly drop can be really useful in certain situations like in my last game against Ship Let Volir where he decided to counter my mostly vulture army with an army almost entirely of reavers and then all of a sudden he has 3 1 star grizzly’s on the field and reavers only have a pea shooter to fire at them.

Taking out bases is basically the only good use for this ability. it tends to miss mobile single targets and im not sure the DPS on something like a cyclops or hunter is much higher than its standard cannon.
