Anticipations:
-
Master Chief.

Cortana going insane.

Campaign that will expand more on the Halo universe.

The eradication of armour lock.

Balanced armour abilities.

Spartan Ops.

The entire Halo community back together like one big dysfunctional family.

Multiplayer maps tailor made for multiplayer and not ripped from campaign like in CoD or Halo: Reach.

Improved network coding.
Gripes:
Pretty minor, but intolerable nonetheless.

Ergonomics and aesthetics of the sniper look terrible. It looks like it’s extremely difficult to use (this is only based off of little pieces of game play) and the arcs around the reticle are unnecessary.

The hole under the scope of the battle riffle is goofy looking.

Some of the helmet armour permutations are also goofy looking.

Sound effects for the needler and sniper rifle are disgusting.

The jerrycans on the back of the warthog is attention to detail gone too far.

Not being able to -Yoink!- n00bs after the “game over” announcement.
This is pretty half–Yoinked!- so I may have missed a few.
These things will be fixed before the game comes out hopefully but they look good now
Hopefully the sniper’s look and sound change. Same goes for the needler’s sound as well.
Needler sounds awesome now, and the sniper sounds decent (not like the sniper from CEA that sounded like Zeus’ very own lightning bolt crashing down upon your enemies

This is the case. OP, everyone on this forum has opinions about Halo 4. There is no need to create a thread for yours.

I do agree the Sniper sound and look is terrible. I wish they gave a neater look (Reach’s looked pretty good) with the CEA sound file. Gameplay wise it should have a little more aim assist (Evan the MLG players are having a hard time with it.

The whole under the sope of the battle rifle was always there. Changing the general shape of a classic weapon makes a lot of people mad.

Haven’t seem many but some of them are pretty ugly. They should clean them up a bit. Reach’s armor looked much better aside from the Recon helmet compared to Halo 3 as well as no Katana

I’ll miss the end of Living Dead games, with the zombies betraying eachother and T-Bagging the corspe of the last man standing.

A - Jump
D-Pad - Switch Grenade
Pleas add this scheme if its not already in.
Also, it looks like team colors depend on game type, I’m actually not sure how much I care about this. But, for sure, I think the Classic play lists should use regular Red Vs Blue.
Anticipations:
-campaign balanced difficulty (no bs like damage sponges or losing your shield from a few plasma pistol shots or having ‘low health, average shield’ ratio that’s been in three Halo games)
-proper Legendary (AI improvement, AI emphasis, decision making, prioritization, enemy number emphasis)
-Elite Zealots returning
-useful sandbox. Even the pistol isn’t terribly bad
-autoaim doesn’t work at too long ranges for main precision weapons (DMR, BR, Carbine)
-vehicle system
-CE esque story, gameplay, epicness (I have yet to see epicness from H3 or… Reach. And I’m definitely ok with that)
