Seems as if the community has had various issues over the past few months. Please vote in the poll (multiple selection option) and describe your issue(s).
Example of some of what I’ve seen as it relates to the poll:
Progressive System - Need to earn XP to unlock weapons & goodies CTF - New rules and no flag dropping Button Layouts - No custom button layout & Fishstick’s catering to COD players Ranking System - No visible rank Specializations - Thought to be OP and not in line with Halo AA’s - Some are presumed OP like PV, Camo, & Thruster LE Game - No exclusive skins and FUD streamed via Waypoint Button Layouts - No custom button layout & Fishstick’s catering to COD players Specializations - Thought to be OP and not in line with the spirit of Halo
NOTE: There is no “Other” or “No Gripes” in the poll, but please post up your other or no gripes comments.
The lack of good exclusive content in the Limited Edition. Had my mouse hovering over the “cancel order” button so many times but just never went through with it. The FUD waypoint streaming clanger was particularly annoying
-very little flat land to use, without building your own.
-lack of beach areas, snow areas, sand areas, etc to build in.
-EXTREME lack of custom game options
-No UNSC flying vehicle in multiplayer
-somehow managing to screw up the Valhalla bases(you can’t run up the front of them anymore)
-no regular slayer by default. only infinity and slayer pro.
-messed up sandbox. no weapons on maps anymore. Expected to find ordinance to use.
-All forge pieces UNSC themed. complete lack of anything covenant.
Extremely restricted gametypes. no longer very open for customization, leaving custom games as good as dead.
I seriously hope 343 either fixes some of this in the day 1 patch, or in a later update. Otherwise, they would have failed to live up to bungie’s reputation in my eyes.
BTW, LE is a must-have in my country. It costs only ~87$ compared to ~71$ for Standard Edition. Moreover, unlike the SE it has the original English dub.
Button layouts are the only legit gripe here, 343i can still rectify this issue while in no way impacting other players negatively and at the same time giving us more freedom within the game.
No Falcon/Hornet. I’m not overly impressed with the maps–Vortex looks like a bit of divine punishment pulled right from Reach–but I haven’t played yet so I won’t officially complain. But I want some good, wide open BTB action, which Sandtrap, Avalanche, Valhalla (yay Ragnarok!) and many other maps captured well, Reach failed at (Hemorrhage), and Halo 4 seems bland. But I haven’t played, I’m looking foward to being surprised.
Also, I’ve rumors that zombies can’t change their weapon in custom games. 343, did you learn NOTHING from Reach? DON’T take away our customizations!
I’ve played a lot of Halo 4, and my only issue is the Progression system, more so the way loadout items are unlocked. Being stuck at a fairly low rank with very little Armor Mods isn’t very fun. Having those little boosts in reload speed and shield recharge can help a lot at times.
Also, in campaign, the IGN video mentions that some of the “push 3 buttons” sections are a bit of a grind. This is true, and has been my only issue with campaign.
