According to the live stream griffball will only be around for a few more weeks. Why? Who knows…
Edit
According to another waypoint user they said it was only going to be gone temporally to make changes, I personally didn’t see or hear anything about this I will check the steam again to confirm later. I hope this is the case and that they will return it as a permanent playlist again.
Edit 2
A few people have asked me to close this thread, if anyone feels this is worth cloaing you can contact a moderator from what I have seen this info is true and nowhere did 343 say it was temporary. If I am incorrect I apologise and a mod can handle the thread.
Seriously? I honestly don’t understand, why can’t infection and grifball co exist together?
I just heard that too! Why would they get rid of Grifball! Keep it for the social players that enjoy it!
Makes no sense, sometimes I really wonder if they think about what they do…
I don’t understand the point of adding these gamemodes only to remove them, I hope they see the feedback and decide to keep it in.
Maybe not enough population after constantly banning everyone playing it?
I don’t understand exactly why 343 would go out of their way to remove Griffball. I know they’ve heard the community’s cry for more playlists, there shouldn’t be a system where everything interchanges. We need more playlists. I know population isn’t exactly high, but stripping Halo of its playlists isn’t exactly helping anyone either.
Just a hunch…
It seems like with every update they add more REQs maybe a remix map and a playlist. Also with every update there is a SIGNIFICANT increase in lag for a large majority of players. To me it kinda seems like their servers are not able to handle the increase in content and therefore they are having to remove older stuff (griffball) in order to add the new stuff (infection/firefight) in order to not crash the servers. Also makes sense as to why they have resisted adding permanent playlists in general.
Basically whoever designed the hardware of their dedicated servers screwed up (not realizing it at first) and only provided enough oomph on the servers to support the amount of content in the game at launch. I am certainly not an expert but makes sense to me.

It might just be this… Also that is why it seems the game is getting more lag as time goes on and why we don’t see more playlist.

yeah add it to the laundry list of things 343i has done where they have all the best intentions but utterly fail at executing their plan
hmmm sad to hear grifball going bye bye. They said there will be grifball updates tomorrow after MOR launch. So if grifball and infection co exist for another two weeks maybe. They said grifball will return if/when they remove it. Yeah they said the same thing with Orion map. However if/when they do bring grifball back, here’s hoping that said infection stays instead of being replaced by said grifball.

As consumers we should always demand a quality product, any time we excuse them for their well intended flubs we only hamper the product/franchise we love.
Wait what? The game need more playlist but instead 343 gonna 343 instead.
He referred to Zombies as taking a “slot,” implying they only a certain amount of playlists at a time. Maybe to keep playlists more dense? Pretty nuts, though.
Omg… really?
Gettin real tired of this rubbish guys…

Bravo should stop by best buy on his way home and pick up a couple of servers.
I have never been a huge griffball fan, but i think they should keep it in.

Hahaha you would think it wouldn’t be that hard right? But remember we are dealing with 343i here…
