4v4 game type with rotating round based offense and defense waves using similar maps to standard Griffball. One team will be red Sarges with shotguns, the other team will be Griffs with a oddball/skull. Time based rounds lasting two minutes on offense and then switch to two minutes on defense. The objective is to score as many “goals” as possible on offense while the defensive team attempts to prevent “goals”. After two rounds with each team playing on round offense and one round defense the game ends, if a tie occurs game ends in draw. Game type would support unlimited respawns and betrayals.
Sounds fun! But I think we need to discuss balancing issues. First off, if the “Grifs” are going to have extra speed with the oddballs, then I think they should have a minimal shield or none. The goal would be to get past the “Sarges.” Avoiding close range encounters would actually be imperative to score.
That seems fair.
Hmmm, I really like the theme of this idea. I think it just wouldn’t be Grifball without hammers and swords, so I’d call it a Ricochet variant (without throwing part). I like how offensive team can bum rush with skulls, but a little iffy on the shotguns.
I think the offensive team will be a little underpowered, so just give the defensive team hammers or swords instead like grifball. A game of melee will be better balanced IMO.
grifball 2.0 ? didn’t know grifball 1.0 was broken or outdated. keep it like it is.
Well I guess you couldn’t call it grifball, what about sarge ball?
Lol

This sounds fun, but why would you call it Grifball?
It also sounds a bit like Reach Action Sack’s Shotgun Assault. (Which was huge fun.)
