Grifball.

Um, kinda late to the party, but Grifball is really trash right now. I swing my hammer first, but die? I swing from the same range as my enemy and swing first, but die. Sometimes my swings get caught it the body of my dead team mate, and end up dying. This is REALLY irritating. Why change it? WHY? I used to do pretty well in terms of kills before they updated it. Doubt they’ll change it back, and a P.S. to 343, why haven’t you guys done anything about GB farming? Ugh.

Sometimes it’s a hit and miss thing (pardon the pun). Also 343 can do very little about Grif Ball farming. It’s a court with limited spawns, everyone is supposed to play with an intention of just scoring, yet we all know we get farmers, you tell me how they are going to sort it out? They can’t implement bans, the population will drop, and GB is not a high populated playlist going by search times.

Well. That sucks

They changed it to be closer to previous versions of Halo.
Shields and spartan charge/sprint lunges really messed with things.
(a sword would always trade with a hammer using charge unless the hammer user had figured out the timing to stop it)

You losing when you think you should have won is either due to you needing to work on your timing, or your connection.

Corpses absorbing your shockwave is likely a physics-related glitch, which means they can’t really fix it. You can usually avoid it by aiming a bit higher.

Spawn killing has always been a part of Grifball, to varying degrees. Taking that out would change the game almost as much as sprint/slide did imo.
Unfortunately this means that some people are going to exploit that for stat-padding.

I haven’t played in a while but is the teamkilling boot still a thing? It always irked me that I couldn’t jump straight into the fray or be even remotely close to my teammates because one mistimed swing would result in me being booted. And I’ve already been banned once due to myself being booted after an accident that was not within my control

And spawnkilling has always been a thing with Grifball. Just gotta pray that you and your team can break out of it. Most times it isn’t too bad… unless the entire enemy team is literally focused on farming and don’t even try to score.

It takes five betrayals to get booted now. So as long as you aren’t just really bad or trying to betray, you don’t get booted that often.

It’s still annoying though when you’re going 90-25 and you get booted cause somebody jumps into your hammer for the fifth time. The real problem is people assuming that having the option to boot means that you have to.
