Grifball win bonus

I’m guessing this must have been a recent update, but I’ve noticed that you get big Performance bonus for winning in Grifabll. I’m only seeing it with Grifball. You lose, you barely get anything. Why Grifball? Not that I have a prob with it.

It was meant to encourage people to stop stat padding in Grifball.

The way 343i showed it off, it was meant to reward the winning team if they completed the game extremely fast, however, it actually rewards you more for making the game drag on longer.

The same happens in Team Objective, but it has the same behaviour.

Lol people still stat pad like crazy in Grifball. I think it has made it worse…

I thought something was up, last week me and a friend were playing grifball to get some of the challenges and i was getting 11,00 - 17,000 credits a match.

Sadly it has. Something needs to be done such as if you or your team does a blatant stat pad then the following:

*First offense: One day credit ban

*Second Offense: Gamertag ban from playing that playlist

*Third Offense: Console ban from that playlist

*Fourth Offense: Gamertag and console ban from playing Matchmaking

Oh, and come the second offense, your GT should be reported to the GB league to so as to keep you from participating in tournaments.

Some people will say that I’m a Hard #$% about this topic. No…I just play honorbally and fairly. If someone were to do it on my GT I would ban myself! “I’m not racist, sexist or anything, I hate everyone equally!

This would be extremely too hard to regulate in MM. I’m a perfect example. I don’t enjoy playing Runner. I prefer Defender on defense and Tank on offense. Are you going to hold it against me that I don’t like carrying the ball? I mean, in terms of getting kills, I’m obviously not going to just stand there while people kill me. But if I’m not holding the ball, I can’t really be held accountable for not progressing the game, either.

Well if you don’t come in with them then you’re merely wrong team wrong time. And you wouldn’t be held accountable. I’m sure the programmers can figure out how to tell if people go in there in a group or not.

However, question, if the group your teamed up with does what the group did in the GB clips I have on my file share, Stat padded us ruthlessly would you just sit by and allow an injustice to be done?

Keep this mind, Refusing to do Anything while an injustice does something is just as bad as doing it yourself. Either way you have become part of the problem.

I was talking to a few of my friends about a month ago about the gain in grifball and they saw that even if you win a lot you can draw a game out by stat padding for all 5 rounds and could get 35k cr gain per game.

Which makes me think that there is a way to find these people by having the server look at who is getting that many credits per game. If they get that many cr per game for like lets say 4 games straight that the ban hammer can see it and then ban the tags accordingly.

It’s a lot easier to break a spawn camp than people make it out to be. I played a team 4v1 just a couple days ago and came out 42-26.

You’re assuming that the people that statpad play in the leagues or care what the leagues think. I can assure you the leagues know who to ban from play without someone reporting names.

The win bonus hasn’t made it worse, really. The unfortunate fact is that the people who play the list to statpad are going to do it regardless of how many credits they get. Most don’t even do it for the credits.

They need to come up with a better way to keep boosters from boosting.

Cold day in hell.

Boosters will always find a new way or a new type of boosting.

Following spoiler is a basic history and possible prediction.

Halo 2 with tools:
… Look for the easy modder who can make the other team spawn in one location or make it to were your team always won cause of the modders autoaim.

… Team boosting by making it to where 2 groups of host sets can always match up with each other and win/lose games in a specific way to level each other up all the way to 50.

Halo 2 without tools:
… Timing the matchmaking searches to match up with your friends by use of language checks or other similer ways.

Halo 3 with tools:
… Host booters and lag switches to get the other team to quit or lag enough to fail their shots.

Halo 3 without tools:

… Guest boosting by having a full party on one team who will always win and the other team who will always lose.

… Guest boosting by having a full party against a legit team who will always win by killing the guest team making their stats go higher and higher.

Halo reach with tools:
… As above with lag switches and host booters.

Halo reach without tools:
… Full party boosting with guests for all the same above from halo 2 and 3.

… Full party stat padding where everyone gets a game where they win. this happens more in ffa games then team

… Cr boosting by stat padding in grifball or by having a excess team 5th+ member on the other team giving away respawn locations in various lists such as swat or team slayer.

FOLLOWING IS A PREDICTION ACCORDING TO KNOWN INFO FOR HALO 4.

WITH TOOLS:
… Host booters and lag switches doing the same as the above games.

WITHOUT TOOLS:
… Full party boosting with or without guests. Achievement boosting most likely with guests.

… Partial party boosting that consists of above halo reach version of having a 5th player on the other team to call out teammates spawning locations.

In short … You cant stop boosting. You can only slow them down.
