Grifball TW.

I’m finding more and more often no-one throws the ball or even has a mic in Grifball.
It really frustrates me that the community has died, even in the most played Double XP weekend hopper on Halo 3 that has been given its own dedicated playlist on Halo 4.
I love Halo 4’s Grifball and actually find that amongst everything from Halo 3 reach and 4, this is one of the only things I think has improved from previous iterations. With the constant respawn of the ball in “Grifball” I can enjoy a really fast paced environment that not only means that scoring can be quick but one point can be longwinded against two impressive teams.
Not only is this new gametype a refreshing version of the brilliant Rooster Teeth invention, throwing the ball is a DREAM, the ability to switch the play not only makes the defenders think more but have to work more as a team, plus if they are not, you can really annihilate them. Also you can have some amazing moments when throwing that ball from great long passes that are inch perfect which match the run of your teammate to insane interceptions.

Do any of you feel the same way about Grifball, and does this lack of communal harmony frustrate other gametypes you play like team dubs or objective?

Lack of communication exists everywhere in Halo, not just Grifball. Of the small amount of people who use mics, too many use it for idle chit-chat or to scream and complain at the game or other players. I completely agree.

I have to agree with Vektor0 on that. A lot of people (including me much of the time) mute everyone i don’t know because they are screaming or swearing.

For the first part, I agree that it is aggravating sometimes when a little communication would go a long way. My best advise is to find someone in the forums or even in your friends list to play with. I’ve met some awesome players in matchmaking (shoutout to mastertim117, Kae Kae Deathrae, and many others) that are just awesome to play with and are not lacking in communication.

Hope I helped ease your pain. I know what it’s like.
