Grifball spawntrapping

Most of the players leave or just leave the controller and letting the spawntrappers get as many kills as they want to…
Is this allowed?

Nothing against the rules in terms of spawn trapping, just a way people play to boost their K/D up, although, it is something frowned upon by many people.

Yea they’re pretty annoying, had to leave two times before the game even started cause i ran into the same people…

Wait so you’re saying that the spawn trapper brings a guest controller in and spawn traps it, or they spawn trap a random player who went AFK?

If they’re getting free kills off of unmanned guests then no it isn’t allowed. It is considered cheating by 343 and is a bannable offense. If I caught somebody on my FL doing that, they’d get removed on principle. I only get 100 slots, I need them for players who are actually good, not players who artificially boost their KDs so they can pretend they’re good.

If they’re getting free kills off some random who went AFK, that is perfectly fine. The AFKer chose to go AFK instead of just leaving the match, they don’t get a free pass to not be killed. Words cannot express the intensity in which I loathe AFK players. If I’m in a particularly bad mood I’ll just kill the AFK player repeatedly to drop their KD, rather than punishing their team for the misfortune of being a man down.

At any rate the playlist is full of spawn trapping. Some people consider it legitimate, others don’t. If it bothers you a lot, just don’t go into that playlist, as Griffball is the playlist of choice for spawn-trappers.

Kids did this to me last night. 1v3. I ended up being patient and killing them off and doing some super ridiculous runs for the win. Hilarious

No, but it is frowned upon. If the players assigned guest controllers to their account, so a friend of their’s on the other team can get free kills, that’s considered AFK boosting and is a bannable offense. If it’s some random guy who’s just AFK, it’s fine, as it was the random’s fault for not leaving the match (however, it’s still a bannable offense for being AFK rather than leaving).
