Has anyone been playing grifball lately? This is the 2nd time it has happened to me but ill join mid game during a match only to be spawning out of the map and committing suicide till im kicked from the game. Then I get striked with a bahammer for 2 hours. it is the map with the floating bridge. Im wondering if the halo dev knows knows about this issue because I worry I will get perma banned for something thats not my fault.
YES! I believe I got banned on that map…could hear the clanking noise in the wall glitch…and then banned! Did not realize what was going on till your post…really upset about it. Thanks for your post. See the official H5 support thread on bans. Apparently lots of players being hit with bans tonight. I lost two lengandary reqs over it…not to mention my enjoyment of the game…afraid to play and have it happen again.
Same thing just happened to me. This is after the game I got booted for accidentally team killing a guy twice. This is ridiculous, I thought that TK bans were supposed to get fixed.
Same thing happened to me today. Banned for 5 hours. been getting banned a lot lately for grifball. Never before till I started playing this mode.
Not banned, but I played a Grifball game on Skylark and joined in progress (link to the game in question) and immediately suicided. I made it into the map once, but was spawning either outside the walls or inside them and being killed. It was absurd. I finally got booted for too many suicides. Judging by the number of players that DNF’d that game, I imagine there’s something wrong with the map.
I had the same issue on skylark and reported it here yesterday I wish 343i would acknowledge it and remove the band from our accounts history and remove the map. I’m afraid to play griffball until stuck time as 343i deems it ok.
I just joined a mates game of griffball on the same map with the bridge. First game of the night. Starting off with a laid back game mode. Blam I was banned from matchmaking I don’t know how long for this is the first time I’ve got a ban in my 8 days worth of game play
I also got banned a couple days ago after too many suicides after spawning outside of Skylark. Never had any Grifball problems until this update.
Also just got banned, literally about 10-15 seconds into the game, 3 or 4 suicides from spawning outside the gameplay area, then kicked out and now banned until “7:15”, whatever that means?!?
Yeh the skylark map needs some tweaking. Id assume its got something to do with barriers shifting causing the players to spawn in weird angles inside walls. That or there were some Forge errors on 343’s part.
I’ve said this before, these forgers have zero clue about spawns. Get new ones to do the maps moving forward.

Same here. I played yesterday on Frontier and the initial man cannon spawn put me into a “room” or something that was all black. I was stuck…couldn’t even suicide. I had to quit. The betrayal ban hammer also seems to be re-enabled on grif. Just a weird day of grifball for me yesterday…never been banned before.
