what do you guys think of grifball so far. My first games enjoyed it a lot. But now every game I play there is so much spawn killing. This it a totally hyperbole because I’ve only play like 5 games of grifball but still. People will always spawn kill in grifball and there is nothing you can do about it. Funny thing the last 2 games I played the enemy team was spawn killing and they still lost. I like to think it means they know they are not skilled so they have to use dummy dumber tiger head tactics but that’s just me.
Spawn killing has always been something in grifball, thrusters sort of help now

Ya I know I think i just forgot to mention it I was just like dang it.
I love H5 grifball! The mechanics really made for an interesting game! However, I don’t have as much of a problem with spawn killing as I do when one teammate accidentally betrays another teammate, and then gets booted out. I wish it would be if a teammate is repeatedly killing allies and not enemies, then you can kick them. I especially hate being at a spawn when a teammate hits me over and over again.
I have no problem with spawnkilling in Grifball as I do it myself when we just scored & I’m in their spawn because of that.
But I do have a problem with people who active only spawn kill. What I mean by this is that they don’t help their escort their bomb carrier(Grif) or help stop the enemy bomb carrier(Grif), they just want to increase their KDA . Infact I had this happend yesterday, one of the enemy players only wanted to spawnkill & always circled around the battle to get our spawn then waited for us to respawn, thats it. One point one of his teamates threw the bomb across the map to him since he was all alone in our spawn, but intead of scoring for his team he just threw the bomb away to his side away from everyone.
Preventing spawn killing would be as dumb as booting for betrayals in Grifball, imo. Then, again… they are letting that happen so who knows!
It’s part of the game. Have fun with it!
Nothing wrong with spawn killing, it is part of griffball. If your team is bad enough to get spawn killed in griffball then quite frankly you deserve it, especially with thruster packs to help you.
Spawn killing is one of the main reasons I play Grifball. Those Multikills are fun.
Good to see that this is already an issue…
‘‘spawn kill is fun’’
Lol
I often find that when a team (or most of a team) is preoccupied with spawn killing, they don’t notice when a guy slips out and grabs the bomb to score it.
While getting spawn killed sucks, if you can escape it, they’ve often left their own ‘base’ wide open and undefended. It really is a legitimate strategy because it’s not just cheap, it has a serious and very exploitable downside.
I think the booting system needs looking at urgently! Last night I was repeatedly betrayed by the same guy and even had the option to boot him 4 times in the match. I didn’t boot the guy as we all know that it happens in griffball and then towards the end of the match I accidently betrayed him and he booted me straight away.
How do you throw the ball, I seem to drop it and it doesn’t go very far.
I know it might be an unpopular opinion, but I’d prefer that they do something to remedy spawn trapping. I don’t do it myself because I find it really annoying to be spawn killed over and over haha

Right trigger

right trigger on default controls
its a tactic that has always been there. its not that hard to counter it anyway since you will likely not spawn right in front of them, just turn to face them and kill them
Get rid of stats or make them separate from other Playlists. That’ll kill spawn killing mostly. People seem to only care about some numbers on a screen that no one will give a -Yoink- about in 1.5 years.
Spawn Killing in grifball has always been a preventable issue. By that I dont mean 343 need to fix. I mean that you and your team need to watch more than just the ball. I dont usually say Spawn killing and similar are good tactics, but it is great in grifball and always has been.
im enjoying Grifball and the thrusters in halo 5 work well. i have broken many ankles and scored using those thrusters.
my only problem right now is the ban hammer. i dont want to play it until they fix the betraying problem.
