Grifball ruined by hammers

The post is simple guys grifball is my favorite game mode and I can’t even play it anymore, all the little bs you can do plus the hammer radius is just absolutely crazy you can kill someone standing dicectly behind you or at the top of the maps sandbox while standing on the ground… really really some one just look into it.

It’d be better if you’d have to physically get close enough to kill someone, rather than let the broken shockwave do the damage.

I don’t see any problem with the Gravity Hammer. My only issue with Grifball is the crazy range on a sword lunge if you use the “smart link” function,

This, even the fact that you get more range smart scoping which makes no logical sense makes the game unfair. Hammer is suppose to beat sword but the range is just far.

It’s like outfitting the hammer’s striking face with a literal explosive, which can destroy EVERYTHING. Just give me a damn “Gravity Flail” and I’ll be going completely ape**** on some poor fools. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty sure you need the Gravity Hammer to call it Griffbal, or else it’d just be mini castle wars with a bomb.

Hmm… I’m not sure if I agree.

I’m sure 343 would have tested the Hammer beyond compression specifically for griffball.

After the latest update to grifball, sword range has been nerfed unusuble and shockwave for hammer is too strong. Using hammer, neither the ball carrier nor sword can touch you. The only good use for the sword is chasing the ball carrier if they get past you, which is half its function. I think sword should be better at pressuring ball carriers from the front as well, but the hammer does that way better. Currently I feel grifball is just hammers only at the moment.

Friendly fire is my only issue here.

Getting instantly kicked from Grifball for friendly fire is my biggest issue. Why would you cripple yourself with a 3v4 by booting your teammate (unless they did it on purpose)?

Isn’t this how Griffball has always been? With a hammer? Am I missing something here?

Halo 5 griffball is pretty bad (it’s ten times better than when it originally came out cause those physics were BAD). They need to remove smart link/whatever you people call it from melee weapons.

My biggest complaint is when I am having a good game and all of the sudden am kicked by a teammate. Sometimes betraying just happens. Like you can kick me but then the team is going to lose and you are being a jerk.

Yep, tried girfball today and it was just hammers which is pretty depressing. Reach has the best grifball.

I think if they just made grifball maps back to their original size, remove SA and smart link it would be pretty good.

Cause people will exploit it. You can already get flung around at times even with team kill on, add that barrier and people will use it to hit certain spots(what’s to stop me from hammering my team mate and him bouncing out of bounds? On top of the map? Etc etc). Griffball itself had exploits when it first came out just cause maps weren’t made correctly or they never thought players would try to break it.

That’s because they made it to where you have no shields, which is BS.
