It is well known that you can escape the map in grifball, and I want to confirm what I have been told. I was playing in a group and someone told me that grifball originally had invisible barriers on the edges. However when the update dropped, those were deleted accidentally, along with some in custom maps.
Is this true?

Its not that they got deleted. If you take the official map variant and load it up in forge you will see that the barriers are still there. The problem is, and I this found out when working on my own maps, that you have to go in and set them to be included in the sportsballs gametype or else they don’t spawn at the beginning of the match.
