Well, a friend and I got on our pre-ordered, midnight released, limited edition Halo 4 copies that we hadn’t touched in so long and we began to think of a playlist. Infinity slayer? Too basic. SWAT? Too try-hard. Dominion? Too objective. Game after game we just couldn’t find one that sparked. Then it hit me. Grifball! We jumped in a match and I fell in love. I gave myself the position of Quarter-Back/Running-Back. My friend would race to the back and I would draw them away from him. After 4 or 5 Hail-Marys, we decided Grifball has become more than a simple Halo arcade game. It’s really a sport. Now, I have 3 other friends than me that are on board. That’s one team right there. There may already be a league but it would be awesome to get a few more people to make sure we always have players ready to go. We dont have a team name or an emblem yet but let me tell you how we work.
We score or die trying. We DO NOT spawn kill like you see many teams do. We purely want the touchdown and not much more.
We use a CCC playstyle. Coordinate, Communicate, Compliment/Critique. We Coordinate with our set positions, reciever, QB, and line backer. We communicate smoothly, no talking over others. We do yell and scream because Grifball gets intense. We only use constructive critisizm. Don’t call anyone garbage or bad. We do kid around but make that clear. We don’t need to be middle-school girls about anything.
We are mature. We are all 16+. We do not require members to be this age, only to act it. We don’t sit around and cuss, drink, and smoke. No need to show how cool you are, keep it to yourself. Now, with that said I only have one issue with young people, their voice. It’s not your fault so we wont discriminate, just keep your voice down.
We have Mics. I don’t think I need to explain that concept.
We have lives. This isn’t the only game/thing we do. So don’t expect us to be pros.
