Do you remember the first time about Grifball being introduced back in Halo 3 by Rooster Teeth and just having an overall blast with it? Well as time has passed, I keep coming across players who exploit the respawning so that they can rack up kills and get more XP/REQ out of it. They don’t even put the ball in the goal, they just keep killing you at spawn and it’s frustrating as hell because I just want to play the game to have fun. However, I can’t have fun because of this because, again, I keep getting killed at spawn by the other team and all I can do is wait it out or leave and accept the incredibly strict cool down timer.
What are your guys’ thoughts on this?

Rift Ball was my thing for a while, but Infection has won me over in the end.
I only go into grifball with a full team. Just like any other playlist nowa days. sigh I remember when I could play multiplayer alone and still have a good time.
I stopped playing Griffball after Halo 3
I haven’t been fun in long time.
I still find it fun. Haven’t experienced spawn-killing myself. Even if my team gets no points, I still find myself laughing at the whole experience. Pixel-Arby from that one map always puts a smile on my face.
People are -Yoinks!-, life’s rough.
I remember in reach that happened to me and then I used the avoid function on one off them a month later I saw a familiar gamertag… it was terrible.
I used to have a blast playing Grifball when I first started playing Halo, but I’ve gotten pretty bored of it now.
It’s boring imo. Rift ball is cool though.

You still can. It’s still plenty of fun. I don’t get to play as often usually my little sister plays here and there. But when I do I have ever no problem winning and having a good time

I don’t know about you but, in higher levels of play in the diamond and onyx, if you’re not try-harding it, you lose just about every time. It just ruins the experience for me when I have to play like that all the time it feels like. besides grifball, Infection, and action sack, but I got board of those gamemodes really fast because those were the only playlists that were fun to me.
Ill admit that Halo 5 did make things more fast paced and a bit more fun with the zero-g map, but the problem still remains with the spawn campers. sigh I just feel like there should be more spawn points in case this sort of thing happens.
Getting spawn killed in Griffball is the only way to play. How else are you going to get those insane spree medals?
