I’ve noticed that very few people understand the concept of scoring in Grifball. I’m not talking about those players that go for a high kill count–that can be excused as clearing a path for your bomb carrier.
I’m talking about the situation where you have the bomb and a clear path to the goal. The entire enemy team is behind you because you evaded them like a boss. The goal is about 20 feet away, when all of a sudden, all four enemies spawn at the goal in front of you. Why? Your idiot teammates decided it was in the team’s best interest to kill them, instead of letting them chase you, the bomb carrier, who’s faster than they are. They were too far away to do anything about protecting their goal, but your extraordinary teammates did literally the only thing that would put them back in the perfect position to defend.
- If your teammate has the bomb,
- and there’s no one between him and the enemy goal,
- ???
- Profit (bomb score)
Note for the slow: the ??? represents “DON’T KILL ANYONE SO THAT YOUR TEAMMATE CAN SCORE.” You know who you are.

Well crying like this is going to change their motives. Nice to know you feel this way though…

The thing many don’t understand is that when players just want to score the ball and end the game quickly, you don’t get as many CR as you would if you just went on a rampage. Halo 3 you scored, Reach you just waste game time going for kills. I got like 40,000 cr for that once.

Stopped reading there. Don’t like it, don’t play it. Simple as that.

The only reason people kill them is because they want to boost their K/D up, unlike you said, people don’t care if they win or lose on it, as long as they go positive greatly, they will play it in any way they want to.
Suppose you could always head over to Grifball Hub and meet some friends & team mates there.

I never said I didn’t like Grifball. I don’t like the majority of the players.

If K/D is all they’re worried about, Team Swat has a place for them. Grifball is the last place I’d go if I wanted to boost my K/D.

There are four team spawns in Grifball, it is much easier to spawn kill in Grifball than SWAT, making K/D padding a dream come true.
