I am beyond happy for this. They are keeping true to the original design of the game and hopefully the forced color will be a custom game option for other game types!
why is this a surprise
Do not make nonconstructive posts.
Another pointless post.
Some people were concerned about this. It is a good sign that they are keeping this at least. Cant wait for Grifball
As someone who hasn’t played much grifball, can you please explain why this is good or what it means at least? Thanks!

I agree, you’ve made a very pointless post.
Mind… Blown…

Basically grifball is like a single ctf match were you run the ball to a goal and the other team try’s to stop you, the runner has always been forced to the orange color that is the color of grif from the rvb series (save the one time were you were gold because of the boost) , so apparently keeping to the forced color change is a good thing

Because when Grifball was created there was a custom game option in Halo 3 to force color of people with specific reasons (Alpha Zombie, Zombie, carriers, teams)
This option does not currently exist in Halo 5. It was still up in the air until they posted a picture with the Orange ball carrier if this would happen in Halo 5 at all. Now my hope is that they give us the option in all custom game types, not just Grifball.

Don’t bother explaining it… take it from the professionals.

The reason it is called Grif-ball is because Grif in RvB is the orange character. That means that whatever team places the bomb, Grif is always the one to get blown up.
This is important for several reasons.
- They are staying true to the original concept of the game
- Forced color is something 343 can clearly do
- Custom games may (and should) get a forced color option

Just like yours
I wonder if 343 made the Grifball maps in-house or used the community’s… hoping for the latter

Oh, I completely missed what you were going for on this post. Forced colors would be awesome for customs.
This is awesome! More options=more fun.
Now if only they could add poor camo.

ofcorse there is force colors
You can’t play grifbal without Grif
this is Grif
Kind of pointless.
